Congratulations to Daniel Neal and Wind Symphony for an inspiring performance at Wind Band Day 2026. Sharing the stage with Eltham High School Symphonic Band, the Royal Australian Airforce Band and Myriad Percussion Ensemble made for an afternoon of engaging performances and exciting repertoire. It has been a busy term for our Carey musicians but as always they gave their all in performance. How lucky we are to have the opportunity to make music with them!

Carey represent! How great to see our music teachers staff performing with the Australian Pops Orchestra in a concert of Williams and Zimmer music at Hamer Hall at the weekend. Looks like James Bradley, George Vi, Zac Johnston, Anthony Barnhill and Anna Camara had a great time, as I am sure the audience did also.

The Victorian Schools Music Festival is a highlight of the Carey Music calendar. Each year our ensembles perform at the festival to two highly experienced adjudicators who offer feedback and an on stage workshop. The groups are adjudicated against the pieces they present and are awarded Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze shields. Congratulations to our students, directors and assistants for these outstanding results at the Festival this year - we are all very proud of you and your commitment to excellent music making.
