We're throwing one last gig – a celebration of Gold Coast music, community and passing the mic! 🎶

Thirteen years ago, a crazy idea became Blank Street Press. It grew into a decade of championing local music, launching the Gold Coast Music Awards and bringing our music community together.

Now, it’s time to pass the mic to Gold Coast Music Alliance, the new stewards of the Gold Coast Music Awards, and celebrate the people, music and good times that got us this far.

Join us on Saturday 28 November from 5:30pm for one big, kick-ass party featuring a tasty serve of local live music from ALBII, Atticus Chimps and Blind Corners, plus an auction of music memorabilia and band merch raising funds for the Alliance.

NOW OPEN 📣 The 2027 AWMA Awards Queensland & New South Wales Regional & Remote Women’s Music Program is open to First Nations women, female and gender-diverse artists and music practitioners based in regional and remote Queensland and NSW.

Applications for the 2027 Australian Women in Music Queensland & New South Wales Regional & Remote Women’s Music Program are NOW OPEN! ✨🎤

Now in its 7th year, the Program will bring together 16 delegates, 8 from Queensland and 8 from New South Wales, for an immersive professional development experience at AWMA in Meanjin, Brisbane, on 26-27 May 2027.

Supported by the Queensland Government and Sound NSW, the program is open to First Nations women, female and gender-diverse artists and music practitioners based in regional and remote Queensland and NSW.

Successful delegates will receive:
💬 Immersive engagement in the Australian Women in Music Conference Program, forums and industry conversations.
🎵 Attendance at the First Nations Women’s Music Showcase
🏆 Tickets to the Awards Ceremony & Concert and associated industry networking activities.
🤝 Opportunities to build authentic relationships with artists, industry leaders, peers, partners and other delegates from across the Australian music community.

Travel, accommodation and a daily per diem will be provided. Applicants must be Australian citizens and over 18 years old.

City of Gold Coast are looking for Hosts to mentor developing artists and creative workers as part of their Professional Placement Program 🌟

This program is designed to help early and mid-career artists and creative workers gain paid experience in a professional arts and cultural setting, supported by a mentor.

The program offers two tailored placement types and Hosts may nominate to offer one or both of the following:
👉 Early career placement - 40 hours one-on-one mentorship with a host
👉 Mid-career placement - 30 days hands-on professional development with a host

The Professional Placement Program provides hosts with a modest stipend to support their engagement.

The Touring Queensland Fund is focussed on supporting regional communities’ access to high quality arts and cultural products and events, including music gigs.

💡Up to $100,000 is available for a single tour of any length or touring program across or up to 12 months. Applicants can apply for up to 50% of project costs
💡 Up to $10,000 in additional funding is available to support costs associated with increasing access for artists and/or audiences with disability
