One year ago today, I hit the button and Art of M. went live. 🎉
It’s been an incredible year, and we’re so proud of what we’ve been able to achieve.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us, shared our posts, and been along for the ride.

Both D and I are so grateful for every bit of support, and we’re incredibly excited for the year ahead. We’ve got some amazing and exciting things planned, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

WHAT IS VISIONISM?
I’ve never really been one for artistic labels – “this person is an expressionist,” “this person is an abstractionist,” etc. I developed the term Visionism to combat just that. To me, it’s really just a label. I guess if people are going to give me a label, I might as well choose my own. Visionism developed from this in order to maintain the integrity of my process. I prefer to paint. It’s about creating a new visual language and mythology – one entirely of my own – that requires the viewer not to only question what they are seeing, but also why they are seeing it.

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do creatively?
Write a book? Paint a portrait or a landscape? Write a song?
Have you ever thought, I’d love to do that, but I don’t have the time… I don’t have the right equipment… Now isn’t the right time. I’ll do it another day.
I can tell you that today is the perfect day to start doing something you’ve always wanted to do. There is no better time than right now.

This was the second painting I created after 20 years of exile. It marks both the beginning and the end of something. It says a lot to me. For “M. as Quixote”, all things begin and end with surrender.
