There's magic in the unknown. Every time I work with Alcohol Inks, I'm captivated by the playful, fleeting marks that shift and change with the light. I'm not in control - the ink is. True abstraction is about letting the material speak and being the observer of its marks. Ready to unleash your creativity? Join me in my Studio. Lets connect.

I have been running this platform since 2015!

Oh how the time flies. I began this journey out of necessity really. Unable to find permanent work when I moved to Australia, I was chatting one day to a lady in Torquay and she told me she had a little Art Shop and she was looking for someone to come in an run an introductory Abstract Art class in her space. I said, I ll give it a go and well here I am 10 years later.

After a couple months of running a class for her, I continued on running my own classes privately, from my dining room in our apartment, for many years till we build and moved into our new home where I now have a dedicated space for Art making and Art Teaching.

I am so proud to call this my day job. Some of my students have been with me since day 1 and others have come and gone and even returned over the years making this the best work I get to call my job.

If you want to hear more about the Culture here at Saabira Razac Art, check the link. There as some lovely memories over there.

I lov watching my students blossom into their own and gain that confidence in Art they never thought possible.

MY STUDIO FOR 2026

After a much needed break at the end of 2025, I am slowly getting back to a new groove for 2026.

In Jan 2026, we had a month long visit from my Canadian Family. We spent a lot of that time just loving and living with each other. Something we have not done since before 2020. We had long coffees together, cooked Trinidadian and Canadian Meals together and visited a lot of Aussie places together. It was a busy month of laughter and joy.

After a very teary goodbye, I am slowly returning to the Studio. My little slice of Solace and my joyful space for all things creative. I think this year the Studio will be a little different. Still a place of calm and joy but maybe a space for more meditative Art Practises and a greater opportunity to create more openly and authentically with you.

I want for myself this year to be more open with my motives and intentions for Art making. I would like to share with you my practice and process a lot more. A lot more quiet doing and creating from a space of love, passion and kindness.

I hope you join me along this journey of self reflection and acceptance.

I look forward to an open and moving 2026 💜

How do you know when a piece of Art is complete?

A question I get asked a lot, and to tell you the truth, only you will know. For me, Art is the journey. Not the end product. Of course, composition and narration play a huge part in a successfully completed piece, but when it comes down to it, only you will know when the journey is complete and the destination has arrived.

Ask yourself, am I happy with where the painting took me? Am I closer to what I saw in my head, or further away? Am I okay with that.

I say to you as I do with all my students. Let it sit with you. Walk past the piece a few times and if you are still happy with your work, then you know, you have arrived.

There's no greater joy than seeing my students get lost in their creativity. As a mentor, I know that sometimes the best thing I can do is step back and let them shine. We spend time breaking down the theory, but the real magic happens when we let go and let the art flow. My students amaze me with their unique perspectives and ideas. Want to join the journey?
