Is this you?
Are you feeling like it’s ground hog day?
Questions to ask yourself.
Did I get time to stop?
Did I do something nice for myself?
Did I burn the candle at both ends?
Our bodies need time to rest and recover from the daily demands of life. I know some of you would be saying - “where do I get the time from, I have kids & a household”.
I get it, you are so busy doing rather than being, that you get lost in it all.
What if for 5 minutes you shut yourself away, and yes you may need to get up before anyone else. How would it feel to gift yourself that 5 minutes of quiet time with a cuppa, before your world started?
Doing something nice for yourself could be sitting in a coffee shop and just taking time to breathe without any chaos… people watch, this is one of my favourite things to do when I stop for a cuppa.
Going out and living life is fantastic, but when we are constantly on the go and don’t allow our body to rest & restore, our body starts to shutdown. You may feel foggy in the mind, not sleeping deeply or even a little snappy… listen to your body & take care of it.
When you hear your body giving you whispers, it’s time to pay attention before it starts to scream at you.
Tools to help you.
🌻Breathing Exercises - raining in for four, holding for four, exhaling for four.
🌻Silent meditation - take a walk in nature listen to the birds, the traffic noise whatever sounds are in your environment, youyou may like to touch a tree and look up into it and really look and see… what you notice with no words.
🌻Music doodling - ear pods are good for this. Grab paper and pens or whatever you have, and allow the music to take your mind on a journey - this is not about being an artist or a perfectionist, it’s about creating space so the the mind + body + soul, slow down.
🌻Energy & Sound Healings help to reset our nerves.
🌻Yoga & Pilates help to keep the energy flowing.
Remember there is only one of you and how you show up for yourself is the most valuable thing in your life.
