What are you doing here? You’re in the Wrong Book Show Team!!

Damian is thrilled to be part of the creative team for The Wrong Book Show. Damian was born and raised in Geelong in a traditional Italian family, where he discovered his love for music and dance. He has been involved in Geelong theatre for over 20 years, beginning as a GSODA Junior Player. He has trained at Ultimate Dance, Stage Arts and SING Geelong.

Damian has contributed to numerous productions across Geelong and the Otways as both a performer and choreographer. Some of his choreography credits include Mamma Mia (Geelong Lyric), Kinky Boots (GSODA), & Juliet (Red Door) and Grease (Footlight) where he was the recipient for the Victorian Guild Choreography Award. Some of his performance credits include Carlos in Legally Blonde (Footlight), Judge in Chicago (Footlight), Tommy in Strictly Ballroom (Footlight), Heathers (GSODA), and Wish Upon a Song Vol. 2 (Geelong Lyric) and too many to name!

Damian is currently rehearsing & Juliet (Red Door) where he will be playing the role of Francois, and works in education as a junior school leader and coach leader.

He’s only just hung up his boots as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, and now he’s putting on pirate boots! Meet our very own pirate, Andrew Lorenzo.

Andrew has been around musical theatre for the better part of 25 years. Professional credits include Charlie Brown - You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (What’s On Productions- AUS), Edward Lyons- Blood Brothers (Ritz Theatre Co-US), Barnaby Tucker - Hello Dolly (New Candlelight Theatre-US), Jerry - The Full Monty (Walnut Theatre Touring Company- US), and PJ - The Essense of Passion (Gasworks Art Park-AUS).

Some training includes the world famous Beverly Hills Playhouse in Hollywood California, the American Music and Dramatic Academy in NYC, and Brave Studios right here in Australia.

Most recently, he was seen as Georges in Geelong’s Theatre of the Damned production of La Cage Aux Folles.

Favourite roles include The Phantom - The Phantom of the Opera (GLTS), Tommy DeVito - Jersey Boys (GLTS), Kevin T and others- Come From Away (Centrestage), and Daniel Kaffee - A Few Good Men (Geelong Rep). In 2023, Andrew was nominated for Best Lead Male for his performance in Jersey Boys as Tommy DeVito, in 2024, a commendation given for his role as Lawrence Jameson- Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Theatre of the Damned), and in 2025, nominated for Best Lead Male for Georges in La Cage Aux Folles, all from The Musical Theatre Guild, Victoria.

Andrew is proudly represented by The Artist Group.

Kids' books are more than the story itself, it’s the moment they create: like laughing out loud or snuggling in tight with our grown-ups. You don’t just remember the book - you remember the time in which it captures you.

Queeeeeeeeennnnnn! Typecast obviously. Meet Cara Oliver gracing us with her presence as HRH the Queen. 👑

A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Music Theatre) and Brent Street Studios (Dance), Cara’s stage career includes Charity - Sweet Charity (Footlight Productions, 2011), Pippin, Chicago, Guys & Dolls and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (Doorstep), along with My Fair Lady and The King & I (GLTS).

Cara has also performed in numerous cabaret and corporate events, including solo and two-person shows at Melbourne Butterfly Club and Chapel off Chapel. Off stage, she is a proud mum of three, creator of the Hello Geelong podcast, a real estate buyer’s advocate and a teacher at Impetus Dance.

Most recently, Cara appeared as Tania in Mamma Mia! and recently hosted the Geelong Women’s Business Club annual event.

Introducing Devon Martin as MONSTER!

Devon Martin is a Surf Coast–based performer, midwife, and proud mother of two boys. Born into a performing family, she first stepped onto the stage at just five years old and has been captivating audiences ever since.

Her career spans both professional and pro-am productions across Australia and internationally. Highlights include performing in Japan in the cabaret spectacular Viva Broadway, appearing in the Top 100 of Australian Idol, and performing with ARG at the Big Day Out. After returning home, Devon became a familiar face in Western Australia’s musical theatre scene, earning acclaim for roles including Mimi in RENT, Rizzo in Grease, and Marta in Company, as well as appearances in Hair: The Tribal Rock Musical and Rainy Days and Mondays: The Songs of the Carpenters.

Closer to home on the Surf Coast, Devon is a regular host of the Jan Juc Christmas Carols and performs with her lively band of local medical specialists—proving that music and medicine can make perfect harmony.

It’s our first costume reveal! Meet Nicholas Ickle played by Katie Loxston

Katie Loxston is a Geelong based performer, most recently appearing as Margot – Legally Blonde (Footlight Productions) and Sophie Sheridan – Mamma Mia! (Geelong Lyric Theatre Society). She is a 2022 graduate of QAEMT (Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre).

Since then, she has appeared in advertising campaigns (Deakin University and ANZ Banking) and has travelled the state with Regional Arts Victoria and Lab Kelpie (Reasons to be Invisible- by Katy Warner). Katie is also a performing arts teacher with Stage Arts Geelong and Infinite Dance Studios.
