Tim Macfarland plays the Author, one of the central characters in The Return of Barry Brilliant. Part One of My Brilliant Apocalypse.

Tim made an immediate connection with the work. His passion for storytelling and commanding stage presence invite audiences to journey alongside the Author.

Born and raised in the Northern Rivers of NSW, Tim trained at Brent Street Studios before relocating to London, where he continued his acting training and built a 15-year career performing across the UK and Europe.

His credits include the London premiere of The Sum of Us (ATS), The Taming of the Shrew (West End), Electra (Tristan Bates Theatre), My Cousin Rachel (Theatre Royal Windsor), West Side Story (Germany), Aida (Switzerland), and Doctors (BBC).

Tim has recently returned to Australia after four years living nomadically in the jungles and mountains of Central and South America and is thrilled to make his Melbourne theatre debut in My Brilliant Apocalypse. He is honoured to share the stage with First Nations artists.

Alex Rohr-D'Aprano plays Alex, and small supporting roles, in The Return of Barry Brilliant, Part One of My Brilliant Apocalypse.

Alex returns to the show after his performance in the debut Fringe season, which held its own amongst far more experienced, older performers.

Alex Rohr-D'Aprano was born to two experienced performers. Acting is in his DNA.

At 14, this is Alex's second stage role.

Alex has been a dedicated contributor since My Brilliant Apocalypse's reigniting in 2022.

Remarkably, the journey of Barry Brilliant's story played a part in Alex's conception, his mother and father acting together on stage in the 2008 and 2009 productions of Coming Soon the End.

Therefore, it's only fitting that Alex is part of My Brilliant Apocalypse's evolution. He features as a performer in all six parts of the series, as well as being central to the engine room behind the scenes.

Teresa Moore plays Auntie in The Return of Barry Brilliant, Part One of My Brilliant Apocalypse.

Teresa brings incredible stage presence and the larger-than-life gravitas the role - and our show deserves.

Teresa Moore is a proud Noongar and Yamitji woman who graduated from Western Australia Academy Performing Art’s Bachelor of Arts (Acting) in 2018, during which she has had the pleasure of performing roles such as ‘Tituba’ in THE CRUCIBLE, ‘Eunice’ in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and ‘Condoleezza Rice’ in STUFF HAPPENS.

Additionally Teresa was invited to perform at Ryerson University in Toronto in HOME, written and directed by Peggy Shannon; ‘Rosie’ in BRAN NUE DAE (Opera Australia), and ‘Ada’ in musical PANAWATHI GIRL, written by David Milroy.

While at WAAPA, Teresa was cast as ‘Jaz’ in Season 1 the TV series MYSTERY ROAD, working alongside Judy Davis and Aaron Pedersen. Other featured TV credits also include BLACK COMEDY S5, DOCTOR DOCTOR and PLAY SCHOOL.

Teresa was previously an Associate Artist at Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, for which she had the pleasure to be the Creative Producer & Writer of the Ngalaka Daa Ensemble 2023 program. Teresa also produced the WOOLAH! Exhibition for Yirra Yaakin’s 30th Anniversary and was a part of Yirra Yaakin Writing Festival as a Narrator this year. Furthermore Teresa also judged the 2023 Shakespeare Awards Night for WAAPA.

In 2024 Teresa starred in Western Australian Opera’s production of WUNDIG WER WILURA, composed by Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, which is exclusively performed in Noongar Language.

Recent credits include HAIR THE MUSICAL at the Athenaeum Theatre, EMU IN THE SUN at MTC, and ABC mini-series GOOLAGONG.

She recently starred in 2026's Theatre Work’s production of LAZARUS.

Daen Ellis is a proud Gunnai, Gundjitmara, Bunjalung, and Mutti Mutti man hailing from Naarm/Melbourne.

With two decades of experience as a didgeridoo player and traditional Aboriginal dancer, his passion for performance shines through.

He is poised to make his stage acting debut in "My Brilliant Apocalypse: The Return of Barry Brilliant," where he promises to bring a raw and genuine spirit to the production.

Nerida Hannah trained at Federation University in Ballarat and works across theatre and film. She is a classically trained singer, and is drawn to stories that explore human experiences in a quirky light. She approaches all work with playful authenticity.

Ryan Brennan returns as Macca and other suppporting characters in the Return of Barry Brilliant, Part One of My Brilliant Apocalypse.

Ryan's memorable comic creation has only evolved as he has expanded his skills since last performing in the show in Fringe 2024.

Ryan has trained under Peter Sardi; coached by Andy McPhee. Is an IO Theater summer intensive graduate; previously acted in MBA in 2024. Worked on various independent films and TVCs 2025.
