The OZITALIAN Community CHOIR was privileged to have performed at the Northern Eastern Community Hospital (NECH)- Campbelltown on Saturday afternoon the 11th July the "Songs of Italy" to the "Alps to the Islands". From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. It was a joy to perform for the residents, their families, and the dedicated staff, sharing the rich musical traditions of Italy through songs that brought back treasured memories and inspired everyone to join in.

One of the most rewarding parts of the afternoon was seeing the smiles on the residents' faces as they sang along, clapped to the rhythm, and connected with the music. Watching familiar melodies spark memories and create moments of happiness reminded us why we love sharing our music with the community. The warmth, enthusiasm, and appreciation we received made every song even more meaningful.

For the members of the Ozitalian Community Choir, performances like this are about far more than entertainment. They are an opportunity to celebrate our Italian heritage, preserve the beautiful traditions and songs of our culture, and most importantly, bring comfort, joy, and companionship through music. Seeing our audience engage so wholeheartedly filled us with gratitude and reminded us of the special bond that music creates across generations.

A heartfelt thank you to Tina Luce (Life-Style Cordinator) for your kind invitation, your generous hospitality, and the delicious afternoon tea you so thoughtfully provided for us. Your warmth and care made the day even more special and deeply appreciated by every choir member.

We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a genuine sense that we had shared something meaningful together. We are absolutely delighted to have been invited back to perform again next year and already look forward to returning to sing, celebrate, and create more special moments with everyone at the North Eastern Community Nursing Home.

Thank you once again for allowing the Ozitalian Community Choir to be part of such a memorable afternoon.

The OzItalian Community Choir are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and chorister, Giuseppe Musolino.
Giuseppe was a true gentleman whose kindness, humility, and warm spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. For over 30 years, he was a valued member of the Italian Choral and Arts Society, sharing his love of music, friendship, and community. He was also a cherished member of the OzItalian Community Choir from its very beginning, where his dedication, support and gentle presence will always be remembered.
Giuseppe's contribution to our choir went far beyond his voice. He enriched our community with his generosity, respect, and quiet strength. His absence will be deeply felt by all of us.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Giuseppe's family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared with him.

The concert celebrated the beauty, passion, and rich musical traditions of Italy, taking audiences on a journey from the majestic Alps to the sun-drenched islands of Sicily and Sardinia.

On Saturday 11th July, the Ozitalian Community Choir will once again have the privilege of performing "Songs of Italy – From the Alps to the Islands" for the residents, staff, and families at the North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH).

A heartfelt thank you to Tina Luce, Lifestyle Coordinator, for her kind invitation and continued support. We are truly honoured to have been asked to return this year and deeply appreciate the opportunity to share our music with such a wonderful community.

Performing at NECH is always a very special experience for our choir. Music has a unique way of bringing people together, creating moments of joy, connection, and shared memories. Over the years, we have felt a genuine warmth and connection with the residents, many of whom respond so enthusiastically to the familiar melodies and cherished songs of Italy. Seeing smiles, hearing residents sing along, and witnessing the happiness that music brings is both moving and rewarding for all our choristers.

The Ozitalian Community Choir values these opportunities to contribute to the wellbeing and enjoyment of the residents and to connect with their families and the dedicated staff who care for them. We look forward to another memorable afternoon of music, friendship, and celebration of our Italian heritage.

What a wonderful day it was!

As our new cover photo shows, "Songs of Italy" brought together a remarkable group of people both on and off the stage. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every choir member who contributed their voice, time, and dedication to making this concert such a success.

Thank you also to everyone who worked behind the scenes and helped bring the event together. Your efforts did not go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated.

And to our audience—thank you for turning out in such wonderful numbers. Your presence, enthusiasm, and support helped create a full house and an atmosphere filled with warmth, joy, and appreciation for the music.

What an incredible response from our community!
The “Songs of Italy – From the Alps to the Islands” Concert on Sunday 31st May is now officially SOLD OUT as we have reached full capacity at the Fogolar Furlan Club.

From the bottom of our hearts, the Ozitalian Community Choir thanks everyone who purchased tickets, supported the event, shared the excitement, and helped make this concert such a special celebration of Italian music, culture, friendship, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our talented performers, musicians, volunteers, organisers, sponsors, families, and supporters whose passion and dedication have helped create what promises to be a truly unforgettable afternoon for all attending.
