Oh I'm used to people using my work as their own inspiration over the years and took on the mantra when I moved up here to swim in my own lane. But I'm struggling with the latest one - especially in a small town.

When you buy my work you are buying my ideas and creativity based purely on MY experiences - not because another business has commissioned it to go into direct competition.

My work is ONLY available through Ningaloo Inspired Gallery - 3 Horwood Quays, Exmouth.

Thank you for your continued support x

Local Mama businesses supporting each other. Alana purchased this board a couple of years back when I was doing the market scene.

And this is the amazing Jess of Sugar-Coated doing what she does best with her beautiful food platters.

I love seeing pics of how my boards are used x

My canisters are back in stock at the gallery. Offering three sizes. Each one with two layers of resin to give depth, then carefully sanded, oiled and finishing touches added.

With this colour combo I wanted to depict the bubbles that go past your goggles as you're snorkelling. This was inspired by a recent swim with friends during the school holidays at Oyster Stacks on the West Side in the National Park x

Well hello! It's been ages since I've posted a pic of myself. I'm back working at Ningaloo Inspired Gallery now that school holidays are over, hubby is home for a couple of weeks and I can get some making done!

I love working in the gallery as I feel it keeps me connected with my audience. With over five years doing the market scene up and down Western Australia, it's still important to have that connection.

So if you haven't had a chance to pop in, do yourself a favour and come on in. It's the only place in town where you get to meet the makers that work and live in this beautiful part of the world xx

Ahh this piece. A labour of love. With 6 coats I was happy but rushed the process of fixing the wire to the back - eager to display it at the gallery. What resulted is part of the resin on the side cracking off and I had in my head a "Nooooooooo" moment - you know - dropping to your knees and shaking your arms to the sky?

But creativity also comes out of mishaps. So it was back to the shed and I carefully peeled the edging off, sanded it, taped it front and back, spray painted it copper, peeled the tape off, sanded it all and poured a seventh coat. And the result? Better than ever! But this time I'll leave fixing the wire to the professional in town.

This will eventually make its way back to Ningaloo Inspired Gallery.

It's a piece I'm very proud of x

A new 60cm piece available shortly. Inspired by the ever so talented Alana McKenzie Art. I wanted to see if I could make a piece to look like something you find underwater up here. Four layers and over 3 litres of resin later, I'm happy with how this has turned out x

In less than a week the border will open for WA. For many, visiting this amazing coastline is a bucket list item. A place I'm fortunate to call home.

I've been told by customers that my boards take them back to that happy moment experienced on their holiday - that is exactly what I want people to feel with my functional art x

I'm so happy to have the butterfly back into my branding. Significant in many ways. From my crazy 20's living in London in the mid 90's, my 30's facing life adjusting health challenges and my 40's where I had to recreate myself adjusting to being a FIFO Mum and finding something that fits in with all of that.

For those who have followed me from the early days, you may remember my intricate wire and beaded butterfly suncatchers. These beautiful hand drawn butterflies by Natasha represent my journey both personally and creatively.

I hope you love it as much as I do x

Something a little exciting. A professional rebrand by Natasha Brady of Telling Designs.

It has taken me many years to finally get to this stage. And to find someone I could trust to "get me" - from how Marlee and Me Creations started, to matching the colours I use in my artwork and to reintroducing the butterfly into my branding. Two this time to represent Marlee and I.

A full roll out will commence shortly, but in the meantime, here's a little clip Natasha put together x

Happy New Year lovelies! Here are my 9 most liked pics for 2021.

What a year for MMC. I can't thank Alana of enough for the opportunity to stock my work in her new and stunning gallery. I have loved every minute of it and her friendship is invaluable.

And thank you, my lovely followers, for continuing to follow my journey. Your support means allot. 2022 for MMC looks exciting! X

Hey lovelies! It's been so long since I've posted anything.

Truth is, I took on something up here that has taken allot of time and energy away from doing what I love.

I've still been making as much as I can to keep stocked for Christmas - this is my living room floor at the moment.

I've also been making gifts for Marlee's teachers. Want an easy idea for someone? Swipe to the next pic.

Lots happening next year. And allot happened this year. Having finally sorted out my finances and going from strength to strength having made the decision to concentrate on resin art.

Thank you for sticking with me! X

Stock Drop! I've been juggling school holidays, a quick trip to Perth, camping, gorgeous friends and keeping on top of stock requirements for - I've worked in the gallery today and 6 pieces out of my 14 I delivered this morning have sold already.

The decisions I'd made earlier this year were difficult as I'm a people pleaser and I don't like letting people down - hence anxiety reared it's head. However, 6 months on since the opening of Alana's Gallery and I'm busier than ever - but it's all in one spot and I can manage it better. X

Today I'm acknowledging R u ok day with a mixture of what I've created over the past 6 years.

Marlee and Me Creations was founded out of not being okay....

You see, Marlee was two at the time and I was struggling. With being an older parent. With the recent news I couldn’t have anymore children. With the news the drug I was on to keep my MS at bay had now placed me into the dangerously high category of developing a brain disease known as PML. And despite all the things I had achieved in my life, I’d felt like the slate had been wiped clean and I was “just a Mum”.

All this energy was swirling around my head when I started making sun catchers for Marlee. And all it took was one friend on Facebook to mention I should sell my work to open up my Pandora's box.

Six years on and I still turn to my crafts to help me get through things when life wants to throw a curve ball.

So believe me, it's OK to not feel OK. And you may surprise yourself what comes of those moments.

Kylie of Marlee and Me Creations is in the gallery today with her beautiful bespoke Ningaloo Inspired resin serving boards, 5 designs to choose from, individually handpoured, each an art piece in their own right 🌿
A big congratulations goes out to Kylie from Marlee and Me Creations all new branding.

It was finally time for Kylie to get her professional branding in order and it has been an honour to create some beautiful custom designs for her.

Kylie is a resin artist based in Exmouth, her work is absolutely stunning. Her art reflects the region's surrounds, linking her pieces to experiences.

The back story of Marlee and Me is sweet and reflects hugely in the business journey and growth. It was important to put this message back into the branding designs.

I thoroughly enjoyed this project journey with Kylie. All the work created has been hand drawn and completely custom.

Looking forward to completing this branding with an official handover to Kylie next week. In the meantime go check her beautiful artwork out. 😀
Just loving my new Kokedama.... Bought this morning at Exmouth’s Community Markets...Thanks Kylie
