Say hello to Banh Mi Friday’s!
Last week we kicked off the weekend with a bang, serving our delicious pork or tofu Banh Mi’s, complete with a rich satay sauce, sprinkle of chilli and refreshing Asian slaw. It pairs wonderfully with our house brewed Vietnamese iced coffee.

Thanks to everyone who came down and made last Friday a great success.

Chef M has created some delicious new gourmet sandwiches and is introducing a new breakfast menu (until 11am).

We’d also like to introduce our new bubble teas! We’re now serving a peach or mango green tea with strawberry popping pearls, and a milk tea with black tea and brown sugar boba. They taste just as delicious as they look 😍

We have exciting news! Papa Bear will be re-opening for outdoor dining on November 3rd, we can’t wait to have you back. To ensure your and our staff’s safety we will be abiding by covid regulations. You all enjoyed our Bánh mì so much that we’ve decided to bring it back every Friday, and have introduced bubble tea and Vietnamese iced coffee to our permanent menu.

We’ve also renovated the inside of the café, making way for a retail space that will sell Axil coffee beans, coffee pods, and milks.

We will be closed this coming Monday and Tuesday, to prepare for our opening.

Until then, thank you again for your support, we’ll catch you on Saturday for some delicious muffins and almond pastries.

Our Team wanted to say a big thank you for your continued and overwhelming support throughout this difficult period. From Friday onwards we will be open from 7am – 2pm and will continue to serve takeaway until November 3rd. This is because we need some time to adjust to keep our staff and customers safe.

Come down to Papa Bear this Grand Final weekend (Fri 24th - Sat 25th of Sep) and celebrate with some delicious food and speciality drinks.

Starting off with the authentic  pork/tofu Bahn Mi from Vietnam then will fly over to Argintina for a Lamb Wrap - slow roasted lamb, garlic infused yoghurt, pickled onions, spinach, fetta and finished with Chimichurri sauce!

Lockdown donuts are back this Saturday 24th. It has become a tradition now but we really hope it’s the last one!

Flavours this week are:
- house-made raspberry jam
- strawberry and cream
- chocolate hazelnut
- vanilla slice

For those cinnamon scroll and almond pastry fans, they will also be available until sold out.

We are back to serving takeaways from tomorrow until lockdown ends. Coffees, cakes, sandwiches and homemade savories are all available.

Opening hours in lockdown is 7am-1pm weekdays and 7:30am-1pm on Saturday.

“Our garden omelette is the best omelette by far!” That was the feed back from our customers after devouring this dish. Chef M really nailed it again!

It is a herb pesto and goat’s cheese omelette with roasted shallots, basil infused oils, rice paper crackers and served with sourdough on the side.
