I now reside in Edmonton with my husband, 2 sons and our family dog. The art comes first in designing a piece, working out colours and shapes, hues and textures. I find the most enjoyable part is the puzzle. Taking a drawing or idea and physically creating it with all sorts of objects. A subtle picture can be made by using similar material and shades all the way up to very dramatic work using bold
colours and a lot of different materials. I am constantly picking up pieces of glass, shell and unusual objects when I’m out, it’s all useful. I have a variety of mosaics for sale and all at very reasonable prices. I am also available to do commission work. My favourite medium is glass tiles, but I’m happy to work with ceramic and other materials. Contact me for a quote if you have a piece in mind. Price depends on the shape and size and also on the intricacy of the design. As a general rule, I would charge $200/m2 + materials for a simple design on a flat surface like a table top, up to $400/m2 + materials if the design is complex. I have mosaiced all sorts of things, bottles, vases, torsos, guitars, rocks, bowling pins, spheres, blocks and more. What can’t I mosaic? Anything that won’t stand still.
