From beginner sailor to 2,041 nautical miles through Europe. ⛵🌍
When Long collected his new Lagoon 43 in France, he wasn’t simply starting a Mediterranean holiday.

He was beginning the first stage of an 18,000-nautical-mile journey home to Australia.
Stage One was all about building experience, and what a way to learn.
Long Story sailed from France across the Bay of Biscay to Portugal, continued along the Spanish coast and into the Mediterranean, before exploring Formentera, Ibiza, Mallorca and Cabrera.

Along the way came dolphins at sunset, night watches, Code 0 sailing, challenging conditions, quiet anchorages and plenty of lessons.

Long also went from being terrified of docking to completing more than 10 dockings himself, while developing his skills in weather analysis, passage planning, anchoring and sail handling.
And this is only the beginning.

Next comes the Atlantic, the Caribbean, Panama Canal, French Polynesia and eventually the Pacific crossing home to Australia.

Lagoon has announced a series of exciting new upgrades for 2026, designed around how owners are actually using their yachts.

On the Lagoon 38, a completely reimagined saloon layout introduces more lounging space, smarter storage and even greater comfort for extended time onboard.

Med mooring can be intimidating, until you’ve done it enough times. 😅

After four seasons cruising Greece, Croatia and Turkey, Mike and Linda have learned a few things the hard way.
Get proper floating lines, make them longer than you think you’ll need, take the time to properly set your anchor and, most importantly, don’t let the boat waiting behind you rush the process.
