Have just said a final farewell to a lovely lady, Janne McKechnie who was a valued member of the Corowa Show Society who will be missed greatly.

Janne McKechnie had been a member of the Society for many years and will be missed dearly for her wonderful personality who made the day much brighter after spending time with her.

The cake competition and displays will never be the same without her input, and over the last few years her horticulture displays have just
been beautiful, a reflection of her garden.

Thank you Janne for the wonderful support and friendship you gave to us all at Corowa P A & H Society, you will always be remembered.

In November the Royal Agricultural Society NSW emailed Corowa P A & H Society asking if we would be interested in collecting a pallet of children's toys, pet accessories from the Wagga Wagga Showgrounds.

The goods were to be donated to families in need in our region for Christmas.

The Corowa Show Society were delighted when we received an email advising that we were the recipients of one of those pallets.

Many thanks for Scott Willett for organising the transport from Wagga to Corowa for which we were very grateful and appreciative.

On 11th December Jan McKenna and Norm Wales met with Roz Willett and Bernadette Ridge from Vinnies, Corowa who were putting together Christmas hampers for those in need in our local area and the children's toys were to be included in the hampers.

Corowa Show were delighted to be able to add to the hampers and provide
joy to some children at Xmas time.

The aim of the Corowa Show Society Committee is to try and create a family fun-filled day without costing an arm and a leg.

This year we certainly did have this happen, thanks to the Corowa Public School for their wonderful giant diverse games that were set up on the grass beside the grandstand. It was just wonderful to see young families using these games and enjoying them.

Huge thanks to Helen Duncan and her husband, for setting up of these games along with Kerry Ormond, Christine Munro and Heather McKenna. Also to Chris McKenna along with Jack and Billy in laying out and the painting on the grass the giant chess board which people had a lovely time playing. Also the AFL and soccer nets were well used as well.

Also another huge thank you to Corowa Kids Early Learning Centre for their coming on board on the day and having a face painter who was kept busy all day and was well received by the kids who all looked lovely.

Thank you to the very talented people who put entries in the Main Pavilion and made it such a beautiful place to see yesterday.

My sincerest apologies to everyone for my forgetfulness at the presentations when I did not announce the Overall winners of the pavilion.

They were Kerrie Kuschert as the overall winner and Cindy Carter as the runner up. Without these two wonderful women who put so much time and effort into their entries, the pavilion would not be so colourful and would be very bare.

So a huge thank you to Kerrie who also puts in the many entries from Lowesdale Public School I personally say thank you.

Also Cindy Carter who has been involved with the show for at least 20 years, thank you for your support and such a great help sorting out problems when they happen.

Jan Secretary
