Glenala State High School’s Performing Arts Centre was transformed into a future-ready, industry-level space 🎭

Working alongside Kane Construction, Macrosphere delivered a full PAC upgrade (Term 3-4, 2024) combining advanced AV, lighting, staging, and control systems into one seamless solution.

From a full truss system with safe-height access, to line array audio, Q-SYS control, and a fully integrated AV over IP network, this space is built to support the next generation of performers, creators, and technical crew.

First shot of one of our lighting states for the new show The Dusty Hour.

We are so thankful for so many who believe in this project of bringing people together to create and share experiences.

The Dustarena is being BUILT on dreams and give it a crack - with people with MULTI skills who DO!

This mirror ball was gifted to us by briefsfactory and the lighting from Macrosphere who are here on the ground in outback queensland to support, laugh and build a venue with us.

We are thankful to have lighting designer Yoshie Kennedy with us making magic !!!! Stars in the dust and in the sky!

🎉 A well-earned retirement for Judy (and Angus!) from our theatrical curtain sewing team 🎉

After 11 wonderful years with Macrosphere, we’re celebrating Judy as she heads into retirement, closing an incredible 50-year career in the seamstress and upholstery industry. Judy’s craftsmanship has been at the heart of countless projects, from stage curtains and skirting for theatres and performing arts centres, to school stages and classrooms across the country.

We also can’t forget Angus the dachshund, who has officially retired alongside Judy after faithfully supervising many workdays 🐾

From all of us at Macrosphere, we wish Judy (and Angus) a very happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed, you’ll be truly missed! 💛
