Season 2 of Standard IATF League is officially DONE… and what a season it’s been 🔥🪓
28 games, countless clutches, some brutal battles, a heap of laughs, and a whole lot of axes finding their mark.
This week, we wrapped it all up with playoffs and trophy presentations, celebrating the throwers who absolutely owned the season.

🏆 MOST 1’s
“Personality Hire” takes it out with 42 — and honestly, this might be one of the best stories of the season. She came for a casual throw ONE time, decided axe throwing was her thing, signed up for her very first league… and somehow became the undisputed queen of the 1’s 😂
Accidental Hero followed with 30, and Ghost rounded out the top 3 with 27.

🎯 MOST 3’s
Ghost dominated this category with a massive 158.
GG followed with 142, and Wng It landed 125.

💥 MOST BULLSEYES
Magic Mike led the charge with 334 bullseyes, just ahead of Tex on 326 and Axel Foley on 325.
The best part? Magic Mike was genuinely shocked when his name was announced. Even with all the stat watching during the season, he had NO idea he’d taken the top spot — and the reaction was priceless 😂

🪓 MOST CLUTCHES
This race was ridiculously close all season long.
Panda finished on top with 66, Axel Foley right behind on 64, and Tex breathing down their necks with 63.
Safe to say… Panda really did come in clutch 😎

👑 MOST 81’s — THE HOLY GRAIL
The elite category. The perfect game. The mythical 81.
Panda absolutely went beast mode this season with 11 perfect games.
Tex finished with 10.
Axel Foley followed with 9.
That is some seriously awesome throwing from all three.

🔥 SPECIAL MENTION — FIRST EVER 81’s
Two massive milestones this season as Jur-AXE-ic Jay and Marky Mark both landed their FIRST EVER Standard 81’s! 🤯🪓
Joining the perfect game club is no joke, and the celebrations when they hit them were absolutely legendary.

🥇 MOST MATCH WINS
Out of 28 games this season, Tex won an unbelievable 25 of them 🤯
Panda finished just behind with 24 wins, while Axel Foley locked in 23.
Consistency at that level across an entire season is insane.

🪵 BEST DRESSED AWARD
This season’s best dressed honours went to Jur-AXE-ic Jay and Magic Mike for their matching lumberjack outfits on our Canada themed night 🍁😂
At this point these two seem to magically coordinate every theme night — whether they’re secretly planning behind everyone’s backs or just sharing the same brain cell, we may never know. But they go ALL OUT every single time and honestly it makes league nights even more fun.

Huge congratulations to every single thrower this season — whether you hit your first clutch, your first bullseye, your first win, your first 81, or just survived the chaos of league night 😂
The competition keeps getting stronger every season and the atmosphere around league nights just keeps getting better.

A quick note before you scroll through the trophy photos… 👀😂
Unfortunately, Panda and Tex couldn’t make it to the presentations this week, which left us with a very serious problem:
How do you include two of the season’s winners in the photo lineup when they aren’t actually there? Firstly, you enlist the help of GG & Wing It t model the trophies for you, but what else can you do?
The answer, obviously, was highly professional AI-generated images 🤖🪓
Are they accurate? Questionable.
Did we absolutely abuse AI technology for our own entertainment? 100%.
Would Panda and Tex have approved? Hell YES!!!... which made it even funnier.

Now… who’s ready for Season 3? 🪓🔥

⚡ JurAXEic Jay – First 81 ! 🔥🌟

Some people take time to find their rhythm… others just step up and send it. ⚡

JurAXEic Jay has only been throwing for one season, came through the Edge of AxeStinction marathon weekend, and has already done the unthinkable 🔥 landing his first perfect 81 in just his first week back for Season 2! 🎯

That’s an incredible achievement for someone so new to the sport, and a huge sign of what’s ahead if this is the starting point.

Massive congratulations, Jay, that’s a statement throw if we’ve ever seen one. 🪓🔥

🔥 Marky Mark – First 81!

What a moment for Season 2!

After what’s felt like a long and determined climb, Marky Mark has finally done it! His very first perfect 81! 🎯

Week 2 of Season 2 and he’s officially ticked off one of the biggest milestones in the league. The consistency, the grind, and the patience have all paid off in the best possible way.

Huge congratulations, Marky Mark! This one’s been a long time coming, and it’s absolutely well deserved. 🔥🪓

What a way to kick off the year!
Our Standard Season 1 for 2026 was absolutely jam-packed with fun, fierce competition, and plenty of shenanigans (as expected 👀).
Week after week brought big throws, tight matchups, and plenty of laughs. From first-timers finding their groove to our regulars bringing the heat, this season REALLY delivered!
🏆 Season Winners
🥇 1st Place: Tex
🥈 2nd Place: Bomba
🥉 3rd Place: Magic Mike

🔥 Season Stat Legends
• Most 1’s: Steel Siren (34)
• Most 3’s: Wing It (125)
• Most Bullseyes: Tex (326) (with Axel Foley technically on 336 👀)
• Most Clutches: Tex (53) (Axel hit 60, but we’ll get to that…)
• Most Wins: Richo (26) — with Tex (24) and Axel Foley (25) close behind
• Most 81’s: Tex & Magic Mike (3 each) (Axel hit 8… but again… 👀)

🦄 Special Mention
Huge shoutout to Axel Foley for landing his Unicorn this season! Massive achievement!

⚡ Quick Note on Axel Foley
As much as he dominates the stats, Axel is our venue owner and throws just for fun — so he doesn’t take out official titles or finals spots. (Lucky for the rest of you 😅)

🧙‍♂️ Dress-Up Night
This season’s Harry Potter theme was pure magic ✨
Best dressed went to GG as Professor Minerva McGonagall — and honestly… it may have helped that she’s a teacher, but that outfit was absolutely on point.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us this season. You’re what makes league nights so good.
We’re already heads down into Season 2, so if you’ve been thinking about jumping in… now’s your time to start preparing for Season 3!

The Final Strike – Standard Big Axe Marathon

There were a lot of tired faces shuffling through the doors today, totally expected and 100% warranted.
We’ve all just been through 10 weeks of league play in 2 days.
It’s madness, right? I mean, who actually does this for fun? LOL..
ok, yeah, it’s us.. We do.
Isn’t it crazy the lengths you’ll go for the things you love? ⭐🥰🪓

⭐Big Axes - that’s exciting, right? Considering the calibre of throwers in this event, it was extremely exciting for us. ust mean big axes)

We started the morning out in the best way possible (again) with Chef Panda’s delicious bacon & egg muffins, some even had cheese if that was your preference… at the ever so popular Tex’AS Breaky BBQ -

Just in case we didn’t mention this before, the Tex”AS Breaky BBQ was to raise funds for one of our very special league members, Tex. She’s travelling to Canada in a few short months to throw at the International Axe Throwing Championships in Toronto. If you’ve been lucky enough to come across Tex in the axe throwing world, then you would know that she is one of the kindest and most caring people you will meet.
She’s always the first to raise her hand and help anyone and everyone - and we felt like it was her turn to get a little something in return.

The proceeds of Tex’AS Breaky BBQ, alongside a raffle that we ran over the weekend AND some extremely kind donations from competitors, managed to raise $1000!
So if you played any part in that number reaching what it did, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts :)
Ok, enough with the cutesy stuff - let’s get back to it, shall we!

⭐Big Axes - that’s exciting, right.. Considering the calibre of throwers in this event, it was extremely exciting for us.
The current Queen of The North - Punkette, 🫶
The IATF Pacific Region Big Axe Champion, Panda, does it get any better?🫶

Well, of course it does, because on any given day, the match can be anyone's, and today was no different.
A day filled with exciting matches and the most nail-biting playoffs we’d seen all weekend!

🏆 Podium

🥇 Panda – keeping his title intact - Panda 🙂

🥈 Scuba Steve – giving Panda a run for his money, but also displaying a level of sportsmanship throughout their matches that should be studied. Great mates and even better competitors. It was the type of playoffs that you couldn’t choose who you wanted to win, because they both deserved it! (and because you know, you’re not meant to play favourites) These guys remained supportive and genuinely excited for each other throughout, and it was such a great finals vibe!

🥉 Flamingo - after battling it out with C-Man in one of the most intense matches of the weekend, Flamingo managed to snag the trifecta!
3 x 3rd place wins for the weekend, and the only competitor to earn a trophy from each day of the trilogy, a perfect set of three! ⭐

🎯 Bonus Achievements

⭐Most 1’s - Venom
Not where he usually excels, but a trophy win is still a win, right? Venom threw his hat in the ring to give Big Axe a go, and took home a cute little dinosaur foot for his efforts :)

⭐Most 3’s - Wing It
The race for the most 3’s was a tight one on this day, Wing It & GG love to go back and forth and even tie it up just for fun! But this one was all Fiona’s with 118 3’s for the day - GG wasn’t too far behind with Pax, both of them on 115 and Venom doing his best to catch them with 112!

⭐Most Bullseyes - C-Man
C-Man put on a show throughout the day - broken calculators and keeping us all on edge with his almost 81’s! It was intense! He still managed to take home his very own little dinosaur foot for the most bulls with 194 though! Panda was right behind him with 189 and Punkette was so close with 185!

⭐Most Clutches - Panda
30 Big Axe clutches in one day! What an absolute solid effort by Panda. He wasn’t alone though, Throwy Zoe was gaining on him with 24, and Axel Foley and Scuba Steve (Dirty Damo) both showed up with 23 and 22 respectively.

⭐Most Wins - Punkette
Our Queen of the North 👸 made sure to keep reminding every single competitor that she was here to stay with 18 out of 20 wins for the day. Axel Foley & Scuba Steve were too busy playing their own game against each other, both taking 17 wins each, and Throwy Zoe made sure to show the boys that she almost had them with 16 wins for the day!

Three days.
Over 40 hours of throwing.
Roughly 68,000+ axes (again… conservative).
Are we tired? Yes.
Would we do it again? Without hesitation.

The Premier Reckoning – IATF Premier Hatchet Marathon ⭐🥰🪓

Some would call this the main event… but honestly? All three days were ridiculous in the best way, so I’m not picking favourites.

24 competitors.
Some stiff. Some sore. All ready.

Luckily for them, their day started with the most delicious bacon & egg muffins by Chef Panda at Tex’AS Breaky BBQ, so you already know it was going to be a great day.⭐
For some, this weekend was their first flurry into the competition side of axe throwing outside of league play, and it was a baptism by fire!, but they took it all in, and we all survived the day.
Again, the cheese kransky’s, chicken chippies and mozzarella sticks were likely a great help! (Huge thankyou to mum for cooking everyone’s lunch and snacks throughout the day)

Enough fluff, let's get into the stats - 9:30 am “ish start, and we finished up at around 11 pm. Feel free to do the math, but it was a long day filled with some extremely good axe throwing.

🏆 Podium
🥇 Panda – (which was even more exciting because the Premier Reckoning Dino mascot was pink, and everything is just better when it’s pink)
🥈 – not content with his trophy win from yesterday, he backed it up and took home his very own pink dinosaur!
🥉 Flamingo – again, another one just swooping in and backing up their performance - and taking home a friend for his 3rd place trophy from yesterday!

Let’s not pretend that I wasn’t overwhelmingly proud that our 1st & 3rd place winners were 13 Axes league members - after yesterdays podium also had 2 teams from 13 Axes standing up there - seeing these guys perform in the sport they all love so much is just so cool to watch!

🎯 Bonus Achievements

⭐Most 1’s – GG
Don’t let it be said that our GG isn’t about to swoop in and steal your trophy, This girl is progressing in leaps and bounds right now, but this 1’s trophy is always going to have a sweet place in her heart LOL 😂

⭐Most 3’s – TIE
GG & Wing It - I’m sure this was orchestrated; these girls love to team up, so it was no surprise that GG & Wing It TIED for Most 3’s - 135 of them each to be exact.

⭐Most Bullseyes – Squeak
When you move to the outback, far far away from your favourite axe house and can no longer throw weekly in league, you have to make sure that everyone knows you’ve still got it, and Squeak made sure of that when he stole the Most Bullseyes trophy out from underneath Shrubbies nose. 218 bulls to Shrubbies 216 - and let’s not discount that Panda was chasing both of them with his 215.. A tight game is a good game, isn’t it?

⭐Most Clutches – 5 Way TIE
Here’s where these guys thought they would be cute…. A 5 way TIE….Panda, Axel Foley, , Squeak & Tex all throwing 45 clutches each for the day..
What’s even better? Dibbsie nearly crashed the party with 44 and Flamingo was on his way to the finish line with 42..
Maybe next year boys?

⭐Most Wins – Panda
20 games - enough to be shared around right? I guess not, Panda took this one out with 18 wins for the day, was behind him with 17 and Dibbsie was so so close with 16… This sport is not for the weak..

⭐Now let’s talk numbers.
81 is a perfect game, but what if it’s almost perfect? 79 is as close as it gets in a Premier match, and plenty of our competitors wanted to show exactly what they were capable of..

⭐79’s were thrown by:
Punkette, Squeak, , Dibbsie & Panda.

⭐And 75’s?
Squeak (a few), Axel Foley (a few), Panda (a few), Shrubbie, Tex (a LOT), Flamingo & Magic Mike.

And that was it for The Premier Reckoning - was there anything left in the tank to do this ALL over again tomorrow?

You’ll have to check out Sunday’s rundown to find out!

Bonded By Blades – The IATF Doubles Premier Hatchet Marathon

20 games - 300 axes per team (not counting big axe tie-breakers or playoffs because let’s not get scary with numbers).

From the very first throw, this day was full of laughter, flying axes and elite level good vibes. And honestly… who knew compulsory party clutches would be THAT entertaining for both competitors and spectators?
🏆 Podium Results
🥇 The Ghosties – & Shrubbie
These two kept everyone on their toes all day and took out Day 1 of the Trilogy in style.
🥈 Sh*ts n Giggles – Squeak & Scuba Steve
They were not giving up without a fight, and somehow laughed their way across the finish line.
🥉 Pack of Punks – Flamingo & Punkette
Locked in from start to finish and made 1st & 2nd work for every single point.

Because this is 13 Axes… we obviously had bonus trophies.

🎯 Bonus Achievements

⭐Most 1’s – Fingers Crossed (GG & Wing It)
First ever doubles play. Plenty of laughs. Plenty of axes clinking. 47 ones for the day and a trophy to remember it by.

⭐Most 3’s – TIE
Fingers Crossed (GG & Wing It)
Nom Nom Noms (Bohemian Axody & Venom — not their real name, but Sammi liked it better 😂)
217 threes each.
And we all know Sammi loves a tie… because that means another trophy.

⭐ Most Bullseyes – The Ghosties
397 bulls. Locked. In.
Pack of Punks were creeping with 336, and You’re On Deeeck made strong moves with 321, just shy of the line, but a solid effort.

⭐ Most Clutches – The Ghosties
53 clutches.
Pack of Punks close behind with 44.
Sh*ts n Giggles with 38.

⭐Most Wins – The Ghosties
19 wins out of 20 games.
Huge shoutout to Nom Nom Noms for being the ONLY team to take a win off them all day!

Now… no trophy for this one (yet)…
But the Robinhoods absolutely deserve a mention.
For anyone new, a Robinhood is when an axe splits or lands directly into another axe already in the target. Rare? Maybe, Maybe Not. Entertaining? Absolutely.

⭐Most Robinhoods went to You’re On Deeeck – Panda & Axel Foley, who clearly decided normal throwing wasn’t chaotic enough.

And that wrapped up Day 1.

Bellies full of cheese kranskys, chicken chippies and mozzarella sticks… and everyone headed off for much-needed rest before we did it all again.

The Trilogy Wrap-Up

And just like that… The Edge of AXE-Stinction Trilogy is DONE.

69 competitors.
18 weeks worth of axe throwing… crammed into 3 days.
Over 69,000 axes thrown (and that’s conservative because… no mathematicians live here).

What an absolute ride.

There were huge moments, personal bests, tired arms, loud cheers, clutch nerves, big laughs, and even bigger memories made. Exactly what 13 Axes weekends are meant to look like.

To every single person who made the trek to 13 Axes to spend your weekend throwing sharp objects at timber with us, thank you. Truly. We know it’s a commitment, and we don’t take that lightly.

And to the extra special humans who helped make this madness actually happen ⭐ Fiona, Tex, Panda & Mum, without you, we would have been completely lost. You stepped in before we even needed to ask (and sometimes before we even knew we needed help). We are ridiculously grateful.

Thank you doesn’t feel big enough.

This weekend took an enormous amount of effort before, during and after ⭐ and without our people, it simply wouldn’t have happened.

And to our whole league family ⭐ so many of you walked through our doors to throw axes and somehow became family along the way. Thank you for showing up. For supporting. For jumping behind Jason’s wild ideas. For helping me prove I’m right when required 😉
13 Axes isn’t just a venue.
It’s the people.

And this weekend proved it.

Three days.
So many axes.
So much fun.

Would we do it again?
We'll have a day by day wrap up coming soon with photos of all the chaos, but we wanted to thank those who helped us make this happen first! ⭐🥰🪓

… absolutely.
