Monash University Philharmonic Society Inc. Welcome to the Phil! Your new home for making incredible music, and lifelong friendships.

The Society began in 1982 as a humble string quartet which soon grew to become a string orchestra, then a full orchestra. The Monash University Orchestra, as it was then known, was renamed the "Monash Philharmonic Orchestra" after Monash University's faculty-run School of Music orchestra was established in the early 1990's. Since then, a concert band, jazz big band, and several small ensembles inc

luding a celtic band and string ensemble have been established to round out our society. Today, the Phil strongly promotes music within Monash University and the Monash area, regularly giving concerts on campus and in other venues nearby.

We are super thrilled to announce our next upcoming concert “Rhythm through Realms” featuring our main ensembles MSW, MPO and MOJAC

Where: Ian Woolf Auditorium, Carey Baptist Grammar (349 Barkers Rd, Kew VIC 3101)
