Some photos from our opening event last week.

Congratulations to all of the winners and a huge thank you to all of the artists for entering. The artworks are all for sale and just amazing. Definitely worth a look. Come along and vote for your favourite for the People's Choice Award to be drawn on 1st August 2026.

Congratulations to all of the artists of the 2026 Clare Valley Portrait Prize. The quality of the works was just sensational. A special thanks to judge Stu Nankivell Artworks who had a very hard job of narrowing down the winners.

🎉We are excited to announce a new award for the 2026 Clare Valley Portrait Prize, proudly sponsored by Clare Carpet Court.

The Clare Carpet Court Local Volunteer Portrait Award is a $1000 acquisitive prize celebrating the volunteers who make our community so special. The award is open to local artists painting local volunteers.

Key conditions:
• Artwork must be a painting
• The artist must have permission from the (living) subject to paint and exhibit the portrait
• The artist and subject must live within 75km of Clare Township
• Artwork must have been completed within the last 12 months
• All works must be clearly labelled on the back
• Artwork must be ready to hang with D-rings attached
• Entry fee of $25 to be paid and all paperwork completed upon delivery to the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre

The Clare Valley Portrait Prize is fast approaching at the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre
Entries are due by 4pm Sunday 14 June.
Opening and announcements of prizes on Thursday 18th June at 5pm.
There will also be an Animal Portrait section.
Please remember:
- your portrait needs be of someone you know with permission to paint them - excluding animals 😉
- must be a painting (oils, acrylic, watercolour, mixed media with painted element or coloured pastel)
- the portrait must have some resemblance to the person (this does not mean the work has to be a realistic representation)
- all artworks MUST have d-rings
- ALL paperwork must be completed on delivery
- a fee of $25 to be paid on delivery (for up to 3 artworks)
