Last month we launched Skin in the Game, our initiative to raise awareness of skin cancer and make skin checks more accessible for our site teams and the communities we build in.

Mainbrace Director Daniel Morelli knows the importance of this firsthand. A few years ago he saw a television segment on Skin Check Champions, recognised some of the warning signs discussed, and booked a check. It found a melanoma.

Skin cancer is Australia’s most common cancer, and one of the most preventable. Every year it claims more than 2,000 lives. Early detection changes that.

Exciting news!

Through our community program, MbRACE, we’ve partnered with Skin Check Champions to bring free skin checks to some of our key construction sites and the regional communities where we build.

Our site teams are outdoors all day, every day, which puts them in one of the highest risk groups for skin cancer in the country. But most just don’t get checked. They’re too busy, or they just never get around to it.

We’re changing that. Clinics on site. Community activations. Starting in July at Narellan Town Centre and Oran Park Podium. To book an appointment visit the links in our bio, and keep an eye out for information on our upcoming clinics!

If this reaches even one person who needed the nudge, it’s worth it.
