🏮✨ 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗨𝗦 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

We’re getting ready to start creating something very special for the 2027 Australian UFO Festival — and we want our community to help us bring it to life! 💫

Our first Lantern Design Workshop will be:
📅 Monday 5 October
⏰ 10am
📍 Cardwell Art Works, Tully Street, Cardwell

This first workshop is all about learning, sharing ideas and designing together. 🎨🏮

Come along and discover how large festival lanterns are made, learn about the materials and techniques we can use, and help us decide what our Constellation of Connection should look like.

🌟 Should we create giant stars?
🪐 Planets and moons?
🛸 UFOs?
👽 Aliens?
🌏 Something inspired by Cardwell?
💫 Or something we haven’t even thought of yet?

This is where the ideas begin!
You don’t need to be an artist and you don’t need any lantern-making experience. Come along, have a look, learn something new and throw your ideas into the mix. 💛
Let Thea know if you are coming 0447660248 to ensure we have enough materials for eveyone to try their hand at lantern creation.
And don’t worry if you can’t make this one!

This is only our FIRST workshop. 🙌
There will be plenty more workshops and opportunities to get involved as we move from ideas and designs into actually creating the large illuminated lanterns that will become part of our 2027 Australian UFO Festival Lantern Parade.

🏮 Designed by our community.
✨ Created by our community.

💫 Lighting up Cardwell together.

Our Constellation of Connection project begins during Queensland Mental Health Week, 3–11 October 2026, embracing this year’s theme:

💛 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 • 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 💛

Because sometimes connection can start with something as simple as sitting around a table together, learning a new skill, sharing an idea and creating something that becomes part of something much bigger.

Come along and help us get the ideas started! 🏮🛸✨

🛸✨ 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳… ✨🏮

Yes… planning has officially begun for the 2027 Australian UFO Festival! 👽🛸

And one of the projects we’re excited about is something we want our whole community to help create.

🏮🌟 A spectacular collection of illuminated lanterns for our 2027 Lantern Parade!

Think giant stars… planets… moons… UFOs… aliens… and whatever else our wonderfully creative community can dream up. 🪐👽🌙✨

And the first opportunity to get involved is coming VERY soon!

💛 During Queensland Mental Health Week — 3–11 October — we’ll be holding our first community lantern workshops.

These workshops will be a chance to decorate lanterns, learn how lanterns are made, experiment with designs and start creating together — all while embracing this year’s Mental Health Week theme:

✨ 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 • 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 ✨

We’re currently working out the best days and times for the workshops so as many people as possible — including our kids and families — can join in.

And October is only the beginning… 👀

Over the months leading up to the Australian UFO Festival, we’ll continue holding community workshops as we start tackling the BIG lanterns that will eventually take their place in our 2027 Lantern Parade. 🏮🛸✨

Made by our community.
Carried by our community.
Lighting up Cardwell together. 💫

📣 Stay tuned! We’ll announce the Mental Health Week workshop dates and times very soon.

And keep watching… because this is only one of the projects we’re starting to plan for AUFOF 2027. 👽🛸

📅 6–8 August 2027

12/09/2026

We love seeing the people behind the Australian UFO Festival doing wonderful things beyond the festival! 🛸💚

One of our speakers and volunteers has launched a new website, complete with an online bookshop. Meditation, art therapy and counselling sessions are coming soon, too.

🛸 𝗖-𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗟𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗖 — 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗔𝗣 𝗣𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟

We’re pleased to highlight the work of C-Files speaker 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗰, whose research features prominently in a new 𝘓𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 article by Christopher Sharp examining government transparency around 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗔𝗣.

Through freedom-of-information requests, Grant has helped uncover official records tracing Five Eyes UAP discussions involving 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗞, 𝗨𝗦, 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗭𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, including documentation surrounding the May 2023 Five Eyes UAP Caucus Working Group.

The article also revisits the Australian Department of Defence initially denying Australia attended that 2023 meeting — before later acknowledging an Australian representative had attended and presented.

Grant described the lack of transparency as “very concerning”, raising an important question about whether elected representatives and the Australian public are receiving accurate information on UAP matters.

This is the kind of evidence-based investigation and research we value at the C-Files. 🛸
