🎭 Babirra Music Theatre is calling for passionate volunteers! 🎭

As we head toward a huge milestone — Babirra’s 70th anniversary — we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Committee and help shape the future of one of Melbourne’s most loved community theatre companies.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with skills or interest in:

✨ Marketing & Communications (social media, promotions, audience engagement)

✨ Sponsorship & Partnerships (building relationships, fundraising, community connections)

No prior committee experience is required — just a love of theatre, teamwork, and being part of a vibrant creative community. This is a rewarding way to give back, meet like-minded people, and play a meaningful role behind the scenes.

📍 Meetings are held monthly in Surrey Hills or virtually.

We are thrilled to celebrate 70 incredible years. Throughout 2026, we’ll be marking this milestone with special events, stories from our past, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate.
We’re also excited to announce the production teams for our two 2026 shows!
A warm welcome back to many familiar faces who have worked with us before, as well as a big hello to the talented new team members joining us for the first time. We can’t wait to see their vision come to life on stage.
Here’s to a year of celebration, connection, and unforgettable theatre. 💛✨
