Meet Meaghan Stewart as Vern. If something needs fixing, organising, or keeping in line, Veronica "Vern" Schultz is your woman.

As the Grounds and Buildings Chairwoman of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein, Vern takes pride in getting things done—especially after replacing the shockingly incompetent Marjorie. She's practical, capable, and has a real Rosie the Riveter energy... even if things don't always go exactly to plan.

Meaghan describes Five Le****ns Eating a Quiche as a hilarious rollercoaster, packed with laugh-out-loud moments while still leaving room for heart. It's the perfect night at the theatre to enjoy with friends and simply have a great time.

Meet Crystal Mahon, who brings the formidable Luli Stanwick to life – the iron-fisted president of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein.

Luli is a woman who likes things done her way, keeping her fellow sisters firmly in line with one unforgettable creed: "No man, no meat, all manners."

Crystal describes the play as one of the weirdest and funniest she's ever performed in, with plenty of outrageous laughs hiding a deeper story about identity, belonging, and the limits society places on those who don't fit the mould.

And if you're wondering what line she's most excited to deliver... 👀

Rehearsals for 5 Le****ns Eating a Quiche are well underway, and this is what they look like.
Apart from being completely unhinged, there is a message buried in there about women finding ways to express themselves within the confines society gives them.
It's just that the confines happen to involve a fallout shelter, a delicious quiche, and an imminent nuclear event.

I'm looking for Canberrans of all ages to take the stage at the Wonderful World Festival this April for Stories of Wonder, a live storytelling experience where real people share short, personal moments that inspire, delight, or amaze. (Wonder!)

You don't need performance experience, just a story and a willingness to share it. Professional support is provided to help you prepare and each story is only up to 5 minutes. Kids with grandparents, friends, families, all welcome.
