Last week, it was announced that music therapy would be swiftly removed from the NDIS. Initially, participants were given 4 days' notice to finish up this valuable function-driven evidence-based therapy. This date has now been pushed out to February 1. Music therapists work one-on-one with their clients to use music as a tool to drive non-musical change - it is about therapeutic outcomes, and is not just for entertainment. There are only a handful of music therapists in the ACT, and our concertmaster Sarah Grey is one of them. We invite our followers to sign the following petition to call on the NDIS to reinstate music therapy as a funded therapeutic support.
Keep Music Therapy as an NDIS funded THERAPEUTIC Support!
