ACT Health has confirmed than an individual in the ACT has tested positive for the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

The person is fully vaccinated and returned a positive test result on Wednesday, December 1 — they have not been overseas.

Further contact tracing is underway and it is not yet known if this case was acquired in the ACT or NSW.
