I am an abstract artist based in Canberra, Australia. I work in acrylic and encaustic. I have always been highly aware of colour – the great variety in seemingly everyday things, and how a change in light can affect colour and mood. Her works are generally in colours that are uplifting to the spirit. In this current series of work, the unique display of forms and colours comes from manipulation of

paint, pigment and reactive agents through the use of movement, warmth and air. Reactions between materials and gravity allow the painting to almost form itself, while she guides the process. The paintings are built up of many layers of paint, each creating it's own flowing abstract surface left open to interpretation by the viewer.
