12 hours live music, local SA food trucks & brewers, family friendly environment & on-site camping. In the heart of the tiny town of Caltowie, big-name and lesser known bands from South Australia and interstate converge for an electrifying festival experience each and
every year in March. Each year the artist line-up is an amalgamation of a well thought out plan to ensure from the first to the last act, that each attendee can traverse the chilled to the fired up music from across rock, indie, folk, blues and a little bit of country. Over the last 5 events we have hosted 13 local acts. To date we have showcased 54 bands, on average 81% are from South Australia and 85% are original artists. But where the hell is Caltowie? With a population of 50 on a busy day, Caltowie sits between Jamestown and Gladstone, plonked in the middle of fertile farming land, straddling the Mid-North and Southern Flinders – the perfect spot for a music festival! On arrival you’ll find a stack of food and drink options to keep fuelled up and hydrated. From smoky barbecue to vegan delights to gourmet yiros, plus licensed bars including local SA brewers, there’s something to satisfy every taste bud. If you’re planning to stay for the whole weekend, on-site camping is available.
