What a night at The Downunder Bar! Week 5 is in the books and Ali "Alchemy" Satera absolutely turned it on, taking down the championship in front of a solid crew of 12 players. Tim Wong put up a hell of a fight in the final but Alchemy was too good on the night, walking away with the win and 50 points.

Big shout to Kaitanu "Kai" Clubb and Frankie "Frywa" Walker who both tied for third, while Richard "Rich" Damon, Josh "Mooks" Mooka, Oliver "Ollie" Asmussen, and Andrew "Crapper" Crapp all made the top 8. Quality pool all around.

Here's how the ladder's shaping up with 7 weeks to go — Mooks is sitting pretty at the top with 70 points, Kai and Crapper are both locked on 66, and Jim Harris has 63. Alchemy's big night launched him to 57 points, and Frywa's sitting on 61. Tony Harrison is knocking on the door with 48 points after 5 weeks of consistent play. It's tight at the top and anyone in that top 10 is a real chance at making the finals.

Speaking of finals, there's $395 in the jackpot and it's building every week until the big showdown on August 8th. Still plenty of time to stake your claim.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS LOOKING DANGEROUS. 🏉🎤

State of Origin is on, and we’re showing it LIVE & LOUD at The Downunder.

That means Wednesday karaoke is getting pushed back a little this week — karaoke will kick off from 10pm, straight after Origin.

Come in early, grab a seat, pick your side, and watch Queensland vs New South Wales with the sound up and the drinks cold. Then once the final whistle goes, we’re swapping footy chants for questionable vocals and getting straight into karaoke.

What a ripper Friday night at The Downunder! 🎤🔥

70 legends grabbed the mic and smashed through 87 songs — absolute scenes in here last night.

The crowd went mental for some classic Aussie rock, with AC/DC’s Highway to Hell and The Angels’ Take a Long Line keeping the energy pumping. Faith No More’s Ashes to Ashes and Bon Jovi’s Runaway both got double runs too, because when a song hits, someone else always wants a crack at it.

Shoutout to whoever belted out Mustang Sally, and the brave soul who tackled Amy Winehouse’s Valerie — serious pipes on show.

From Blondie to Pitch Perfect, Loverboy to AC/DC’s T.N.T, the variety was unreal. Every single person brought the vibes and made it a Friday night to remember.

And guess what?

We’re doing it all again TONIGHT.

🎱 Weekly Pool Comp Facebook Post

What a cracker of a night at The Downunder Bar! Week 4 is in the books and Jesse "Lacky" Lack absolutely dominated, taking down the championship in brilliant form. Massive congrats to Lacky on a top-notch performance! Barrunah "Bee" put up a solid fight for runner-up, while Charlie's "Dad-C" and Thomas "Bola" Satrick shared third spot with some quality pool. Shout out to Josh "Mooks" Mooka, Stanley "Gibbo" Addo, Paulz "Paulz" Waia, and Ross "Ross" Roberts rounding out the top 8.

Twenty-one players threw down this week and the season ladder is heating up! Jim Harris is still holding top spot with 63 points, but "Bola" is charging hard in second with 54. Jesse "Lacky" jumped to third with tonight's win on 48 points, and "Mooks" sits fourth with 46. Dylan Welch, Andrew Crapp, Justin Ryder, and Harsh are all in the mix, and with 8 weeks still to go before finals on August 8th, literally anyone can make a run at that $335 jackpot.

The beauty of this comp is we're only a third of the way through — plenty of time to climb the ranks or cement your spot. The top end is tight, the middle pack is loaded, and every week counts.
