Greek Street Fair Burwood is an annual event celebrating the Greek culture and heritage. In 2025 it takes place on Sunday 9 November from 11am to 5pm, Railway Parade and Burleigh Street Burwood, NSW. Enjoy Greek dancing performances, Greek music, Greek food and sweets, market stalls, competitions, activities for children and lots more. This family friendly event is presented by volunteers of The G

THANKS YIA YIA! | We were thrilled to welcome Yia Yia from YiaYia's Kitchen to our stage at Greek Street Fair for a special cooking demonstration. She cooked, she danced, she sang - always a crowd favourite and always a huge supporter of our event and of Saint Nectarios Burwood - Sydney, Australia. The outcome? Delicious! Thanks so much Yia Yia (aka Helen Dedes) for your generosity, warmth and wow-factor - and thanks again to Dedes Waterfront Group for their support for our event by donating two $250 vouchers - one for the Nectarios/Nectaria name day competition and one for our Greek Food Odyssey Raffle. So gratefully appreciated!

WHERE'S MITSOS AND PLATO? EVERYWHERE! | Mitsos the Greek Street Fair Donkey and Plato the Greek Dancing Cat were out in full force again at our event, spreading their usual brand of joy and fun to everyone they met. Who doesn't want a selfie or a dance with Mitsos and Plato?! We just love their enthusiasm and couldn't imagine our event without them. Thanks to their support crew!

CONGRATULATIONS TO LOCAL GREEK SCHOOL STUDENTS | The young Greek School students of Saint Nectarios Burwood - Sydney, Australia made their Greek dancing debut at Greek Street Fair Burwood and it was cuteness overload!

Dance classes were introduced as part of the Greek School curriculum in Term 4 and the students only had four lessons, under the direction of Greek Dance Rhythms, before doing a fantastic performance on stage. Sincere thanks to their dance teacher Christina Efthymiades, with assistance from Stamatia Paradisis - they kids had a blast! And they looked great.
