Amanda and Scott caught up with the awesome Daniel Daniel E Johnson this week before he heads home, after a multitude of contracts and replacement contracts for Grayboy this year. He’s a bit of a legend actually. He’s heading back to LA for a couple of months rest before returning to join the current Adventure cast and perform with them for the rest of their season. ⭐️ 🎙️ RAISING THE CURTAIN ON BEN DARSOW 🎙️ ⭐️

If you have ever seen Ben Darsow live, you know no two shows are ever the same. Armed with sharp wit, a relaxed charm, and a knack for hilarious, off-the-cuff banter, Ben turns audience interaction into an absolute art form.

That quick humour also explains why he barely has time to unpack a suitcase these days. Ben is racking up serious nautical miles, maintaining a packed Carnival Cruise Line schedule across 2026 and well into 2027 aboard Carnival Luminosa, Adventure, Encounter, and Splendor. To top off an already massive run, he has also just locked in a spot aboard Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess in 2027, sailing out of New Zealand.

Whether he is unleashing clever observational material or playfully making the front row part of the act, Ben guarantees a brilliant night out. We are thrilled to keep this crowd favourite sailing to packed houses all over the world.

Every great live show starts with a spark of an idea, and taking THREADS OF TIME from initial concept all the way to creation has been an incredible journey.

We were tasked with taking what was traditionally Ekka’s annual “natural fibres” fashion show and completely transforming it. The goal? To amp up the energy and build a vibrant, fun, full-scale production show that celebrates 150 years of Ekka fashion and heritage throughout the ages.

From early storyboarding, visual and digital design, music production, choreography and direction right through rehearsals, staging and the final live cues, every detail was crafted to make this anniversary truly unforgettable.

The response from the crowds has been fantastic!

If you’re at Ekka, you can still catch THREADS OF TIME performing three times daily on the Main Stage in the 7NEWS Community Pavilion until the 16th August.

Two of our Grayboy stars, Dean Atkinson and Bodane Hatten, are literally passing the baton in Dublin, Ireland! Bodane is getting off the Celebrity Eclipse and Dean is joining the same ship.
