Each year on Anzac Day, Queenslanders come together to honour and remember the ultimate sacrifice made by our service men and women during wars, conflicts and peace keeping operations. This national day of commemoration also marks the 108th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in 1915.
There are many ways to commemorate Anzac Day tomorrow, starting with a dawn service in locations around the state. In Brisbane, patrons wishing to join the Anzac Day Dawn Service are invited to gather around the Shrine of Remembrance in Brisbane City from 3.30am for a 4.28am start.
Visitors are also welcome to honour their heroes by laying a poppy or wreath inside the Anzac Memorial Galleries or in the Anzac Square parklands. For details go to www.anzacsquare.qld.gov.au/whats-on/anzac-day.
