Brisbane, we are absolutely bursting with excitement!! Sunscreem are coming to Candee Flip direct from the UK to perform on Sat Jan 24. 💥
Our first ever international act will be performing all their classics live, with the legendary multi talented Lucia Holm at the forefront as always. Sunscreem are pioneers of the early club and rave scene. Their tracks were at the heart of the Brisbane dance scene all throughout the early 90s and they're the perfect fit to showcase just what the Candee Flip vibe is all about.
They'll be joined by a host of your favourite old skool Australian Djs all on vinyl only as we venture into a 9 hour Candee Flip to remember. This will be one for the ages. It's your support and love for Candee Flip over the past 20 years that has made this moment possible. Part 4 in the soul in circuitry ep release we have “pass the torch” a long overdue collab with DTECHMC long time homie from back in the rave days in Brisbane.

My first memories of Scotty was behind the Tube Nightclub at a rave in the carpark behind the venue asking for a go on the mic 🎤 I asked him to rap and he had it , so I passed the mic to him and we shared the stage for some time.

Over the next 25 years I’d watch him go from strength to strength finding his feet in the hip hop world and with band kobra Kai and as the soloist MC alongside the greats of the dnb and bass music scene.

This Choon is a jungle roller from T-O-M-I-X with a nod to the age old tradition of passing the mic to the up and coming MCs so they can develop their art form and showcase their passion.

“Top 50 greatest Australian Electronic Acts of All Time”

Coming in at #35 is a grand honour and very humbling to be recognised amongst a list of absolute legends in the game.

In a fast changing industry that gets very fickle and forgets the pioneers easily it truly warms my heart to be recognised for over 30 years of service to a culture that has brought me so much joy and love over the years and supported my life and family.

I’m always grateful for the times jesse and I have shared over our 25 years of working together and looking forward to continuing to make art and celebrate it with the people who appreciate what we do.

Thanks for sharing the journey with us , the best is yet to come , thanks for the ride so far 🙏🫶🫡
