Bindimu
Bindimu is a First Nations and South Sea Island interdisciplinary artist from North Queensland and based in Meanjin. Bindimu creates artworks that speak on social and environmental issues and experiences and her ever expanding understanding of the metaphysical. She creates artworks made predominantly with ethically sourced, natural materials and recycled resources. Bindimu tells a story through the use of fibre art, sculpture, sand mandala, wearable art, painting and DJing (RedBelly) and looks forward to sharing audible storytelling and good vibes. Her calling is to bring knowledge and healing to her communities through sharing in stories, knowledge, cultural exchange and bringing awareness to social and environmental injustices.
