I am so thrilled to reveal 'Heartland' - a naive narrative landscape created for Ali France MP. Ali reached out after meeting me at the Creative Samford Art Trail.
Heartland represents the very heart of Ali's electorate (Dickson) North West of Brisbane, technically In Moreton Bay region. Not a literal map, but an invitation to look closely, find something familiar and perhaps discover something new. It is about the places we love, the activities we share, and the many little things that make somewhere feel like home.
Ali will reproduce Heartland on cards. Every card is hand-written by Ali and is certainly from the heart.
If Heartland speaks to you, then you can bring her home too. I have reproduced A3 and A4 prints and I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality. Printed in Samford. 280gsm linen look paper. Ready to pop into an off-the-shelf frame or elevate with custom framing.
You can see Heartland for yourself today by visiting me at Ucreateartstudio as part of The Gap Creative Inc. Open Studio.
Or you can take a look online ❤️
Heartland is a joyful celebration of place and belonging. Inspired by the landscapes, landmarks, everyday moments and communities of Brisbane’s north-west, familiar elements are woven together in a colourful, whimsical landscape. Rather than a literal map, Heartland is an invitation to look closel...
