It’s a simple formula. But it’s full of opportunity.

I used to always listen to music in my practice. Less so now. But when I do, it’s usually tracks with some weight to them. A lot of Hans Zimmer, classical, jazz. Music that breathes. The music is always so good to come back to when I need a bit of a kick start, or want to spark something fresh.

Road trip!
I had a very wet road trip to today to drop off a small collection of work.
It’s always such a pleasure to be on the walls surrounded by some many stunning artworks. If you’ve got a day to kill Toowoomba is totally worth a day trip. So many great food spots and little shops to discover and of course this stunning gallery.

I moved studios 3 weeks before the Art fair.

The timing was not ideal, but after 6 years our home is getting a little makeover. And most of the makeover is happening around my studio space, not in it. So I’ve had to move out for a while, but the world has a way of lining things up. A space opened up in the building that my other business runs out of so we shifted things around and now I have an excellent usable space! 🙌

I haven’t spent a lot of time there yet and I’m sure it will take a bit to find my mojo in a new space, but I’m grateful to have a space at all. Who knows what paintings will be shaped by this new space! I can’t wait to get stuck in!

The Brisbane is over for another year and I’m dead.

It’s hard to articulate how I’ve felt about my second fair. There were crazy highs, extreme lows and everything in between. But I’m calling it a success and when the organisers asked if I’d be back again next year it was 1000% yes.

I’ve met so many new clients and people who may or may not become clients. But spending 5 days hanging with my art family sharing our art and propping each other up is a special kind of relationship. I’m forever grateful to be doing what I love each year with these incredible humans.

Thanks to everyone who came to support us, meet us and purchase our work. It really does mean the world to us.

If you’ve had your eye on something all the available work is now live on my website, or send me a DM.

There’s lots going on for me in the coming months, but for now I rest and regroup.

And thanks to all the helpers who packed trucks, brought chocolate and filled water bottles. It makes a massive difference to our day.
