As we're sure most of you are aware, our good friend and industry Legend, Locky (Mark Lockyear) passed away in late February after his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Apart from being a huge part of the Brisbane music scene, Locky played a big part in helping us create, and transform LDL into what it ended up as back during lockdown times.

No matter what was going on, Locky always was chill, optimistic and sported a smile on his face... And then of course there was his stage presence - with that energy of his, whether it be on stage live or on a little stage in a shed in front of a bunch of cameras... He always turned up and gave his all.

Today, a small event is being held in his honour at his second home Irish Murphy's Brisbane , and we'll be playing through his streams up on the big screen for everyone to enjoy. And for those of you who can't make it or just want to enjoy some of the fantastic music and good times he brought to us, here is a collection of his Lockdown Lounge Livestreams for you to watch back and enjoy.

We held off, but we caved - time to boot up the old lounge for some streaming goodness while we're all locked in for another round! 🎸

This time we have additional restrictions and a whole new swag of tech hurdles to get our heads around so tonight we'll be hosting a No Right Turn duo stream doubling as our live test run.

Should be kicking off about 8:30-8:45 so get those requests queued up and hopefully the technology does as it's told 🤞🤘

About The Lockdown Lounge LIVE

With the shutdown of the hospitality and music industries, we’ve created a space for musicians to be able to reach out and connect with their fans, friends, families, locals, and colleagues.

Sure, everyone was in the spirit and have been quick to help out the industry by making their own videos at home, but there is only so much everyone can take of unflattering mobile phone selfie angles, bedroom audio. So we created a space, where we can have acts come, perform on a REAL stage (yes, the stage we use has been kindly given to us by one of Brisbane’s most popular venues) play under lights, have production, have that “gig feeling”, know that you guys are out there watching - and perform their hearts out like they would at the hundreds of venues around every weekend.

Behind the scenes we are no big TV station or multi-million dollar outfit, just a couple of working musos, who run a small media business on the side, that have found themselves out of work like the rest of the musicians out there. Making the best with what we have. The page has already generated good traction, and even though we’ve got a great selection of Brisbane’s top muso’s already lined up, this is open for any working or semi-professional musician to put their hand up. So if you are a musician, please get in touch if you want to do a set!
