Sometimes something smells yucky.

“YUCKY” just doesn’t quite explain HOW yucky the yucky thing actually is! 😂
Fortunately, our boy 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩 has been learning some not-so-miniature words. 🦍

Sounds ridiculous now, doesn’t it? 😂

But in the early days of television, this strange new technology was unfamiliar enough that some people thought there HAD to be some kind of trick involved.

So, at the 1939 New York World’s Fair, RCA came up with a wonderfully simple way of showing people there was no hidden trickery inside...

They made a television you could SEE THROUGH. 😲

In this 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, we go all the way back to Episode 30 - 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝟏 - for the debut of 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬.

It was also our very first example of 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲 - taking balloon creations and turning them into marionette-style puppets to help bring the story to life.

A nursery rhyme.
A balloon spider.
A twisted tuffet.
And, naturally, 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫.

Greetings, Explorers! 🌏📻💻

Get ready for a busy weekend on the amateur radio AND internet airwaves!

Yes, I know the internet doesn’t have airwaves...

But hey, it sounds better. 😁

Because 𝐉𝐎𝐓𝐀-𝐉𝐎𝐓𝐈 is happening around the world this weekend, bringing Scouts and Guides together through amateur radio, the internet and a whole lot of curiosity.

And the 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐰 and I are getting involved too!

I first took part in 𝐉𝐎𝐓𝐀 more than 30 years ago, and tomorrow we’re jumping forward a few decades and virtually visiting the 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 to interview some of the miniature people taking part in this year’s event. 🎤🌏

We’ll be recording the interviews, so you’ll get to meet some of them too once I’ve had a chance to put everything together.

When will that be?
..we’ll get there. 😂

But it should be a LOT of fun.

And here’s something I think is particularly cool...

This year marks 30 years since 𝐉𝐎𝐓𝐈 became an official World Scouting event.

But JOTI actually began being pioneered in Australia back in 1995...

Which means some of the people I’m still talking to from those days and I were involved 31 YEARS AGO. 😳

How cool is that?

Our resident time-travelling robot 𝐄𝐃𝐍𝟏 - 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙉𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙊𝙣𝙚 - (ʙᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ ᴄᴀʟʟ ʜɪᴍ 𝐄𝐝𝐞𝐧) has returned with another 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭!

And this time, he’s been to the day mankind finally steps foot on Mars. 🔴🚀

So... what did we find?
