Thank you Sandra Renew for cohosting Ocean Mic Poets open mic breakfast this morning. On top of sharing poems from a couple of her collections, Sandra has been working hard judging the 2026 ACT Literary Awards. We appreciate Sandra stepping in to cohost when she can. It was a wonderful morning of open mic followed by a feature set by our first visiting poet Linda Godfrey. Thank you to all the poets, our audience and Tathra Hotel.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the judges of this year's ACT Literary Awards.

This year, our wonderful judging panel across the awards was comprised of Eugen Bacon, Frank Bongiorno, Helen Ennis, Dan Hogan, Subhash Jaireth, Ambelin Kwaymullina, Lucy Neave, Sandra Renew, Gabrielle Tozer, and Jen Webb.

Thank you all for your skill, time and consideration in judging the ACT Literary Awards.

Poetry this weekend ✨️ join us at Side Pocket Poetry on Saturday 10am-12noon in Bega to write, rehearse, listen and share. There is time, space and smiles if you wish to prepare a poem or three for the 28 June Ocean Mic Poets Open mic poetry breakfast from 9am with our visiting poet Linda Godfrey.

Side Pocket Poetry - this Saturday 27 June 10am-12pm. Participant led poetry sharing (reading workshopping reading writing discussion). Free, all ages welcome. At the Side Pocket rear 32 Church St Bega.
