Travelling back in time...

This was the second sword I ever made. It was fashioned by flattening the metal leg of an unsuspecting kitchen chair... Using nothing but a hammer, hacksaw, steel file and some sandpaper I toiled away until I ended up with this.

Gotta say, I was pretty stoked at the time! Afterwards I learnt mild steel is NOT the go to material for a sword, but that's another story.

Ah, memories 😊

A bit of a fun snippet from one of our birthday parties... This game is called 'Brutus go home', where one team must es**rt the mighty beast back to the castle, while the other has to take him out with our deadly pool noodle ballista.

I’ve finally made a new quiver for our arrows! The old one was, well… extremely old.

100% genuine leather and I squeezed it in a night before we did an event. I’ve been meaning to do this for absolutely ages and glad I finally got around to it!

So we have that, plus some new bows… our targets are next on the equipment upgrade list.

And we have of course our variety of arrows for our archery segments: Red = Fire arrow, Blue = Ice arrow, Black = Poison arrow (for assassins) and… don’t mention the brown arrows. The kids have decided what this colour means, and apparently that’s that.

But I refuse to mention it.

Thanks everyone who came to our event THE NINE RINGS OF ODIN, it was great to have you!!

(There was so much more happening than what I got here but there was just too much going on!! 😅 )

We still have plenty more going on this year... Birthday parties and we'll be next at the BELTANE FIRE FESTIVAL on Halloween in Landsborough! More on that soon... 😁
