While the garden slows down for Winter awash with shades of green, there are still hints of colour, a promise of what is yet to come, our mild entry into winter has me feeling that Spring is almost here 💐👏🏻 💚

I picked this bunch today for an order, when the spring/summer flowers are resting the baby blue eucalyptus, woolly bush, old man saltbush and leucadendrons are perfect to fill the gap till springtime again 🌸

Kind of hurts my heart to fell these beauties to make way for spring seedlings but that’s farming! The amaranth was prolific over summer providing striking interest, colour, form and texture to my bouquets 💐 They are good self seeders so no doubt seedlings will be popping up in no time!

Hydrangeas are such a wonderful long lasting flower, even at the end of their long season they keep on giving and can even be dried for an even longer lasting arrangement. A staple in the smallest patch of our garden, the only shady spot 👌Love them and remember to crush 2 inches of the stem before putting them in water 😉

Pinch me moment! Blown away and humbled by yesterday’s results at The Red Hill Agricultural Show, placed in all categories for all 6 entries. I was expecting maybe one ribbon but 6! And Aggregate Winner (had to google what this one meant 🤩) Congratulations to Megs of Little Clover Flower Farm for her Highly Commended on her beautiful Dahlia arrangement and all ribbon winners. Big thanks to all the organisers and volunteers who make this huge community event such a great success every year 🤗👏🏻🌸
