Moving 50 camels from Port Germein to Robe was no easy feat for Warwick and TJ Hill, Humpalicious, but after settling in the South East two years ago, and building the world's first renewably-powered camel dairy, the pair are pleased with their decision.

My 4 year old son Nathan spending some time with the younger camels today. The camels are so gentle with the kids. It's so nice to watch him get around them so confidently.
A big day yesterday at Melbourne Camel Hire with our camels stealing the show at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre for the "Our Christmas Gift Concert Spectacular". Huge thanks to "Peter Hodge Camel Hire and Trust Based Training" for loaning me his camel "Cappuccino" as I couldn't have done it without him. And also thank you to our handlers Danielle and Brian for a job well done and for putting in such a long day.
A little job we did with Ulla greeting guests at a function in Brighton. We get to meet all sorts of interesting people on our travels.
One of the very first things I learnt about camels from Peter Hodge was "look after your camels and they will look after you." This has been something that has stuck in my head ever since I heard it and I have done my very best to to care for all of my camels to the best of my ability. Well yesterday, three of my camels picked up around 400 people in 5 hours and they did it without a complaint while they chewed their cud. I feel extremely lucky to have these beasts in my life and I couldnt be prouder of them. On top of all of this, I was lucky enough to have Peter lend a hand yesterday and this is him leading my girls for a lap. Thanks Peter for everything you have done and continue to do for me and my camels.
Today was our first outing since the winter break and the girls were brilliant. It was also Zuki's first ever job. The camels were so popular again today, they draw a crowd where ever they go.
Today is "Ride Your Camel To School Day". So Tommy rode a camel to kinder. Tommy really enjoyed it and Arnold, from Peter Hodge Camel Hire, loved all of the attention as 50 or so kids came, one by one, and gave him a pat.
After putting in the ground work with Hergott over a few months, developing trust and trying to be a firm but kind leader, I thought I'd see how he would respond to instructions without any action prompting him to do what I ask. Thankfully he was very good, as there wasn't anyone else here to lend a hand if he decided not to listen and I could well have ended up spending most of the day up there.
Today I got a little video of the two first time mum's with their calves. Rowsey is three weeks old today and the smaller male calf is one week old. Gee they grow fast. We'd better start trying to think of a name for him. I love the black markings on his little face.
Another baby camel was born today it is very cute. We now have 15 camels living with us, we might need to start taking applications for some wise men π
Our little baby camel, Rowsey(Rosie), is one week old today and doing very well. She is named after the Rowsley Valley where she was born and also because her mum's favorite food is the wife's roses (sorry honey)π
Everyone on the farm, including the cattle, are very keen to meet our newest addition. I think I'm getting clucky π
