While I was in surgery, Mum apparently decided the best way to wait was to go fabric shopping… and honestly, she knows me far too well 😂

CORDUROY!! 🙌 Plus that ridiculously fabulous green leopard print 💚🐆

I’ve been itching to start playing with corduroy, rescued denim, crochet and fun fabrics to create some completely one-of-a-kind bags — and apparently Mum has decided to enable me. 😂

I’m meant to be recovering… nobody said I couldn’t sit quietly and plot what these are going to become. 👀

The sun is out, the weather is warming up and the crowds are starting to roll in 🙌

Spicy Stitches is all set up and bursting with colour — crochet, scrunchies, clips, accessories and plenty of handmade goodies to browse. 💕🌈

Today’s innocent little trip to Spotlight…

Me: I just need some lining fabric.
Also me: apparently I’m learning to make bags now. 🫣🤣

New scissors, pins, needles, thread, stabiliser, hardware, gorgeous lining fabric and several things I didn’t know I needed until Mum educated me.

I went in with a $50 budget. We will not be discussing how that worked out. 👀

Spicy Stitches is branching out a little for summer and I am SO excited to see where this goes.

Rescued denim + crochet + colourful fabrics + whatever other textures I can get my hands on. 🧶👖✂️
