East of West put on an exquisite performance last night at the night markets.
Their music takes you on a mind journey, to exotic places or solitary spaces. I felt so relaxed and centred after their performance, free of the tyranny of lyrics!

Another great night at the Watertank Cafe for the June Last Sunday Folk Up.
Amazing performances by feature artists Billy Black and Klinton Buzzacott with his dad Keith on electric.
Then we were honoured to have our new Festival Patron Warren H Williams jump up for the open mic.
Farewell and best of luck to Cafe owner Kristy and Jackie as they move on. We look forward to the new era of Vietnamese cuisine with new owners Thanh and Jenny.

Dinner and a show this Sunday!

Hi friends and music lovers, happy winter solstice, now we can look forward to days lengthening and more spectacular sunsets and clear skies! What a place we live in!

This Sunday, we gather again at the Watertank Cafe for our midyear Last Sunday Folk Up, with two sensational local artists kicking off from 5pm (doors at 4.45pm).

Opening the night is our favourite guitar slinger Billy Black, who is seen regularly round town playing with many different acts in as many genres. Not just a brilliant guitarist, Billy is a jaw droppingly great singer and solo performer.

Klint Buzzacott sang recently at the Folk Up Open Mic, and absolutely blew everyone’s hair back! We are so excited to host Klint as our feature act, where he will be joined by his father Keith “Buzz” Buzzacott on electric guitar! Drawing on themes of romance and nostalgia, Klint describes his sound as atmospheric blues/pop — a heartfelt exploration of life,
love and emotion.

The Open Mic is BACK from 7pm, where ANYONE has the chance to shine with 2 songs of their choice! But get in early, as the blackboard fills up fast! Delicious meals, hot and cold drinks are available from the Watertank Cafe menu. $10 for ASFC members, $20 for non members, new memberships encouraged! See you there 🧡
