Friends of Araluen

Friends of Araluen Become a member to enjoy special events, functions and a discount to all performances presented by the Araluen Arts Centre. Membership costs $50 for one year.

The Friends of Araluen is a community based not-for-profit organisation that works with the Araluen Arts Centre to generate inspiring and entertaining arts and cultural experiences for the wider Alice Springs community . The Araluen Arts Centre and the Friends of the Araluen Association work together to promote and create inspiring and entertaining experiences for the wider Alice Springs community

. As a voting member you can give feedback to the Araluen Arts Centre on programming and event and facility development. From your membership fee, 20% goes to the Friends of Araluen to support projects at the Araluen Arts Centre. By becoming a member of the Araluen Arts Centre you will receive:

* Special prices on tickets to performances presented by the Araluen Arts Centre
* A complimentary drink to selected Season 2017 performances
* A complimentary ticket to one Arthouse Cinema screening as part of the Araluen Arthouse Cinema Season
* Invitations to visual art exhibition openings
* 10% discount at the Araluen Arts Centre Gallery Shop – excluding exhibition artworks and goods on consignment
* Regular updates on all activities at the Araluen Arts Centre
* A special pre-show members dinner at the Barra on Todd before the performance of State Theatre Company of South Australia’s The Popular Mechanicals
* As part of your membership, you are eligible to become a member of the Friends of Araluen Association.

20% of your membership fee goes to the Friends of Araluen Association to support projects at the Araluen Arts Centre including the acquisition of works of art and development of public programs for the community. Vale Ted Egan. On behalf of the Friends of Araluen committee and all Friends of Araluen members of whom Ted was a great support, we send our sincere condolences to Nerys and all of Ted's family for your loss. Ted loved Araluen and he kindly donated the proceeds of his 90th birthday party at Araluen to Friends of Araluen. The first tune played on the then new Grand Piano, was Happy Birthday for Ted. Ted you will be greatly missed and always remain loved and treasured.
