A magical day in Giverny!!! Monet’s garden is a must place to visit. We had a beautiful day and painting here was delightful. I won’t say too much, I’ll let the pictures show you.
Successful for me with another 2 paintings and lots to of gorgeous inspiration for when I get home.

The Streets of Vernon! Today was colder and possible showers so we stayed closer to our place of stay. I was lucky enough to have a one on one Tutor today. It was quite a challenge to paint today. I did take some time out from to eat some seriously delicious pastries. When France you have eat a yummy tarts aux frambioses. Omg delicious!! The bread/ baguettes we ate are next level addiction. Fabulous day!!

Auvers-sur-Oise is such a magical place. It was wonderful to paint here, learning from David Hinchcliffe light and how to make a painting with little detail. Such a very pretty place.

I’ve always loved Van Gogh’s outstanding works. He painted 74 paintings in 70 days plus a good amount of Drawings. Amazing!!! The story is sad one and is worth a read if you ever get a chance.

Day 5, travelling to Vernon. We were lucky to be there for a weekend street festival. Vernon fun. We discovered and researched places we wanted paint.

Day 4, wow what a place to visit. Park Rene Viviani was beautiful. It’s right next to the Shakespeare and Co which has an icon bookshop. Did I go in, no, I was too busy enjoying painting.

At the park was the oldest tree in Paris (400yrs old) and the church Saint Julien Le Pauvre. We had lots of sunshine which was fabulous for light and shade. David assisted us with gaining this in our paintings. I think I’m getting better🙌

Adventure To the Musee D’Orsay. Seeing the many works of the impressionists and more was very moving. Great company always makes it feel grand.

Part 1 of my Paris workshop with Artist David Hinchcliffe and guest assistant artist Michelle. Discovering light and throwing myself into to Paris atmosphere. First day painting the little courtyard where I was staying. Day 2 painting the iconic Notre Dame, Day 3 painting on street at a local cafe.

Want to know where the best place is to paint….. it’s been a week discovering this amazing part of the world and sooooo many photos. Now it’s the start of the next journey and that’s the painting workshop in Paris with David and Michelle our tutors and with my 2 favourite friends Jenni and Chris. Day 1 of the meet and greet with us all together - Artist David had us set up with paintbrushes and canvas, painting our new subject. So much energy and enthusiasm even if we had splashes of rain and hail. I was able to get in a little pen and wash in the previous accommodation in Montemarte. That was a fantastic place of inspiration. Tomorrow we take to the streets to paint amongst the Parisians.
