INTRODUCING AJAR

Adelaide Fringe 2025 @ The Garage International, Adelaide Town Hall

How can a door be ajar if it's a door?

Language is useful. Sophie, a young teacher at the end of her tether, wouldn't deny that. She just likes asking questions.
But sitting there, playing with her little niece, she can't help but be struck.

When do we lose our capacity to widen our eyes?
How can Monday and Sunday feel so different when they're actually the same?
How does one reconcile the lust for freedom with the necessity to work?
Why not take the easy option, when you've got nothing to look forward to?

Sophie and her sister Ali, a new mum, battle questions like these in this debut South Australian tragicomedy from Verbal Cues. Starring Amy Heffernan and Nina Wilcock.

DATES:
- 25 FEBRUARY
- 6 MARCH
- 16 MARCH
This production is supported by the Adelaide Fringe Fund, and the Nunn Dimos Support Act.
