Yesterday our amazing, wonderful President Wendy Ambler stepped aside after many years of careful guidance at the helm of Illumina Voices. Thankfully she'll still remain singing with us and as section leader. Our new President Gwenda Gazzola will lead us capably along our future path. Well that's a wrap! Our third 'And All That Jazz' concert last Sunday was a wonderful finale to the year. We so enjoyed performing two concerts with Kym Purling and Tim Bowen and then the last concert with our own Illumina Hand Chimes Ensemble playing some Christmas-themed music. We hope you found it as exciting as we did! We'll be having a short break before we get back early in the New Year ready for a new repertoire 'As Long As I'm Singing'. Have you heard the news? Our guest artist, Kym Purling, will be inducted into the SA Music Hall of Fame on Friday in recognition of his outstanding contribution to music. Come and hear him in our two concerts "And All That Jazz". Details on our website: illumina.org.au
Since graduating from the Elder Conservatorium, Kym has performed in showrooms on the famous Las Vegas strip, playing for the likes of Frank Sinatra Junior, David Cassidy, Buddy Greco and more. In 2020, Purling relocated back home to Adelaide where he is in hot demand as a performer and musical director. 🎊
