Just a week until Donum mirabile with Graduate Singers!

Experience the stirring majesty of Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat contrasted with Anna Zweck’s light-hearted setting of the same text. Enjoy the South Australian premiere of Agata della Pietà’s Ecce nunc, the only surviving work by a student of Vivaldi that has ever been brought back to the general repertoire. Thrill to Benjamin Britten’s twinkling Jubilate Deo, accompanied by the famed St Peter’s Cathedral organ. And revel in the splendour of a ca****la motets by Anton Bruckner in the lush resonance of the Cathedral acoustic, as we celebrate the 200th year of his birth.

Conducted by Kim Worley, Adelaide Cantata Band is led by Holly Piccoli.

Introducing our collaborators, Graduate Singers! Grads is one of Adelaide’s finest choirs (The Advertiser) and has been a dynamic member of the vibrant local choral music scene for 40 years. Led by their Director of Music, Karl Geiger, the choir has received critical acclaim as an exponent of fine choral music, and enjoys a reputation for excellence throughout every aspect of presentation and performance.

Grads is committed to presenting high quality, accessible and diverse concerts, keeping the choral tradition alive and fresh. The choir prides itself on its versatility, being equally at home with large-scale choral standards as with intimate chamber works. Grads consists of some of Adelaide’s most experienced choral singers, many of whom frequently sing in major choral productions. With strong ties to the local music community, Grads regularly collaborates with other artists and organisations, established and emerging.

In addition to presenting its own concert series, Grads maintains a busy schedule of freelance engagements, and regularly performs alongside the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
