Igudesman performs concerts around the world, composes music for movies, working with Hans Zimmer, John Malkovich, Roger Moore and other people who are less famous, but just as great… He plays on a Santo Seraphin violin from the year 1717, which is kindly loaned to him by ERSTE BANK. His compositions are p

ublished by Universal Edition and have been performed worldwide, often with him as a soloist and conductor. Igudesman has written for and performed as a soloist on several movie soundtracks and has directed several feature length documentaries, such as Noseland and Breaking Beethoven. He has worked closely with Hans Zimmer on numerous movies, including “Sherlock Holmes” which received an Oscar nomination for the Best Original Score. Igudesman performs in the duo IGUDESMAN & JOO. Their clips have been watched on YouTube over 45 million times and as a duo, they have performed with Gidon Kremer, Julian Rachlin, Janine Jansen, Viktoria Mullova, Emanuel Ax, Joshua Bell and Yuja Wang among many others. Together with Julia Rhee, Aleksey Igudesman is the co-founder of ‘Music Traveler’, an app and online platform which allows musicians to book practice rooms anywhere any time. In 2021 Music Traveler has launched a streaming site for musicians to earn money through the tickets sales.

Would Beethoven have approved? We may never know. He did spend much of his life breaking the rules, which is usually what gets composers remembered instead of forgotten.
