What a beautiful day celebrating love, diversity, visibility, and community at the Vienna Pride Parade ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Pride is more than a celebration. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, the voices that paved the way, and the importance of continuing to stand together for equality and inclusion.

Making Mother Fergie PROUD! 🤸‍♂️🎶 When the warm-ups are harder than the singing…

People see the concert. They hear the harmonies. They enjoy the show.

What they don’t always see is everything that happens before the first note: the stretching, the balancing, the coordination exercises, and apparently… acrobatics. 😅

We’re working hard (and occasionally risking our dignity) to get ready for our Pride Concert on June 20–21. And trust us, it will all be worth it.

Meet Felipe Riba, one of the international voices of the Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus 🌈✨

Originally from Argentina, Felipe (he/him) sings Bass 1 and occasionally Tenor 2. For him, music is about connection, visibility, and building community through shared experiences 💜

When he's not singing, you'll find him gaming, crafting, or sewing. Musically, pop is his home base, but he'll happily explore anything that catches his attention. He also firmly believes that some of the greatest composers of our generation are writing video game soundtracks 🎮🎶

Fun fact: In the last five years, Felipe has lived in five different countries, always seeking new cultures and adventures.

What he loves most about the Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus is the opportunity to be fully himself, build meaningful friendships, and help create a safe space for others.

Lernt Felipe Riba kennen – eine der internationalen Stimmen des Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus🌈✨

Felipe stammt aus Argentinien, singt Bass 1 und manchmal auch Tenor 2. Für ihn bedeutet Musik Verbindung, Sichtbarkeit und Gemeinschaft 💜

In seiner Freizeit ist er Gamer, Bastler und Näher. Musikalisch fühlt er sich im Pop zuhause, entdeckt aber gerne Neues. Und eines steht fest: Die besten Komponist:innen unserer Zeit schreiben Videospielmusik 🎮🎶

Fun Fact: In den letzten fünf Jahren hat Felipe in fünf verschiedenen Ländern gelebt und dabei seine Liebe zu neuen Kulturen entdeckt.

Am Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus schätzt er besonders die Möglichkeit, ganz er selbst zu sein, Freundschaften zu knüpfen und einen sicheren Raum für andere mitzugestalten.

Michael (he/him) is from Austria and sings Tenor 2 and describes music as a constant companion that enriches life in countless ways 💜🎶

When he’s not rehearsing, he enjoys cycling, PC games, board games, and going to the gym. His favorite music styles include pop, opera, and musicals, because life is always better with a dramatic finale ✨

Fun fact: As a child, he owned almost every Pumuckl record 😌

What Michael values most about the Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus is the strong sense of community and seeing individual voices come together each semester to create beautiful harmonies and unforgettable performances.

Meet Michael Maier, Treasurer of the Vienna Gay Men’s Chorus 🌈✨

By day (and rehearsal night), Michael keeps the choir’s finances tight, transparent, and beautifully organized—and as a proud Bass 1, he also helps keep our harmonies grounded 🎶💜

For Michael, music is all about storytelling and emotion:
“Music tells a story and conveys emotions.”

When he’s not balancing budgets or singing on stage, you’ll probably find him at the theater, traveling, reading philosophy, gaming, or planning his next adventure. His soundtrack of choice? Pop and musicals, because life is simply better with a dramatic finale 💅

Fun fact: Michael is afraid of heights… but still did a bungee jump once. Honestly, that’s the kind of chaotic bravery we respect 😌
