After three years of development, we’re happy to announce the soft launch of our production THE END OF THE WORLD on Dec 28, 2024, with two performances at 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.

The opera in development concepted by composer and director and producer with a libretto by tells the story of female experiences of the end of the world and new beginnings. Audience members equipped with an augmented reality capable device and headphones will encounter a choir of our ancestors and nine augmented reality characters aged 8 to 63 in their moments of tumult and transformation as they walk along the Donaukanal.

After Patricia Martínez’s untimely death in October 2022, five female composers from around the world followed our call to finish her work by bringing each one character to life. They are , and .tonia. The opera features voices of .melis.demiray, Anna Schors, Clara Maria Kastenholz and Sofia Pavone, as well as musicians of the SWR Experimentalesemble and .music . It is designed by and , sound design by and , recorded in parts . Civic coordinator , who was integral in coordinating the interviews with womxn from Buenos Aires, Zurich and Wien, whose stories are the basis of these interviews.

At our Soft Launch on December 28, you will experience our AR Walk with us for the first time, your feedback will be integral to further development for upcoming performances in February & March 2025.

EINLADUNG ZUM OPENING & ARTIST TALK | 13.06. 18:30 UHR

Die Video- und Klanginstallation TIME SPLITS entstand aus dem Austausch mit Trauernden in Wien und Münster. Eine Kombination aus poetischen Bildern, Gedanken, Orten der Erinnerungen und persönlichen Lebensumfeldern macht das Unmögliche und Unaussprechliche der Trauer behutsam und sinnlich fassbar und eröffnet vielseitige Perspektiven für alle die Eintreten.

Die Videoinstallation von .f.brendel und eröffnet eine 4-tägige Residenz von Civic Opera Creations .eu im .lot zum Thema Trauer und Erinnerung mit Workshops, Performances und Tea Time/Brunch.

CALL FOR INTERVIEWS! // New Work Development

What does q***r joy mean to you?
eu, and are looking for positive moments of q***r life to give them their stage! And we need your help!

Based on your experiences and stories collected, we develop new songs and text by q***r creators and showcase them in a music theater evening, that centers the happy moments of being q***r and stories full of joy, pride and empowerment. In addition we are creating a podcast episode and foto exhibition.

With set design by , costume design by Ulf Brauner (), video installation by .f.brendel, dramaturgy by Dr. Katharina Kost-Tolmein, interaction & motion tracking by Peter Venus and creative produced by Leonora Scheib. Big shoutout to our wonderful performers Robyn Allegra Parton as Rita, Johan Hyunbong Choi as Alfred, Hasti Molavian as the Ratwife and Alwin/Finn as Eyolf, as well as our two conductors Henning Ehlert and Boris Cepeda Hernández and the Sinfonieorchester Münster.
