ORCHESTRA COURSE AND MASTER CLASSES WITH MEMBERS OF THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC These pieces of music are then performed in concert.

The so-called "Viennese Sound" as we know it from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is not a hypothesis but a reality that can be measured with scientific means. The IOIA has made it its task to research scientifically the various aspects of this sound, together with the Institute for the Viennese Style of Making Music at the University of Music in Vienna and to teach students of the whole world

in a practical working period the Viennese way and tradition of making music. Teachers of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and conductors standing close to this orchestra study pieces of music in individual and group lessons and then in orchestral rehearsals - mostly music of the Classical and Romantic periods and the "Wiener Schule" (Schoenberg, Berg, Webern). This practical working period takes place every summer in Attergau / Upper Austria, near Salzburg.
